Are the baffle size and tilt values available for public?
I'm curious about this too.
Joachim, today i saw on AUDIO Magazine 06-2014 that you got an amazing test result
for your suesskind BEO speakers. Many congrats to you for that ! And i like the look
and colour of the BEO alot. I can imagine the KALASAN with a 10" sub, too.

Congrats on the design Gerhard! It looks really good.
As a happy Kairos owner, I am intrigued by your crossover and looking forward to trying it.

Thanks, yes, the BEO did really well.
I am sorry that i do not have any information when the Satori kit will be released.
David that originally comisioned this design has left SB.
When you need drivers you can contact me via PM.
I also have the circuit diagrams of the kit and the DIY version of the cabinet.
The DIY version was with a wide baffle and the tweeter set back.

If somebody is interested in another kit, there is one here: Satorique, Formel-1 aus kleinen Lautsprechern - Mai 2014 - Lautsprecherbau-Magazin 2014 | Lautsprecherbau
Seems that the developing engineer also works/worked for Focal.

Hello! I have made it!
Thanks, Joachim!

Is there any way to make a "Sticky" with the cabinet plans and crossover variations and include Jeff's Link to the his kit and Goran's as well! After all this is ONE LONG THREAD!
I am also curious what the difference between the 6020 and the 6600 for example! Also, I was able to sample the 6620 which is very impressive, what about the R3004/6020 as possible variations to Goran's Kit?

Hi,
I've done a not yet published version of the "Satori Two - Monitor" with the Beryllium (6640) tweeter. All of the above mentioned tweeters including the 6640 requires a different cross-over for the tweeter filter section compared to the original design with the stepped baffle and the D3004/602010 tweeter.
The version I've done with the 6640 tweeter uses a 6deg sloped baffle instead of the stepped one.
I don't like the "R" versions of the above tweeters even though they look cool. They have a more linear and extended on-axis frequency response at the cost of a worse off-axis response and a higher distortion profile than the "D" version.

Hello,
Very nice thread and interesting speakers. Does anyone know the height of the Kalasan boxes built by SB Acoustics?
Thanks,
Robert

Thanks for the input on the R versions...so I guess they only question I have left is, since the 6600 is a lot more money than the 6020...what's the difference...besides the price difference!?? (Your last name wouldn't be Gillinger would it? I know another Swede named Goran, I'm of Swedish decent myself.)

Hi,
Sorry, I'm not Gillinger.
Main differences of the D3004/602010 compared to D3004/660000:
- Smaller and differently shaped face plate, 62mm vs. 104mm
- No AirCirc motor layout
- About 2dB less sensitivity
- Lower Fs, 425Hz vs. 470Hz
- Slightly higher distortion profile
- Decreasing frequency response from 15kHz vs. increasing frequency response from 15kHz (see pictures)
Attached pictures:
D3004/660000 = Blue
D3004/602010 = Red
Note! The graphs are normalized to about the same SPL.
For measurement details see:
www.audioexcite.com ScanSpeak D3004/602010
www.audioexcite.com ScanSpeak D3004/660000
For the price the D3004/602010 is a great tweeter. For a small face plate tweeter it's a great choice and is almost if not equally good sonically as the D3004/660000.

Thanks Goran...I have some studying to do 😉 But very nice and clear explanation...I appreciate it.
how about news sir?I have some new information and will post some more at the end of this week.
I came up with this shape for the cabinet.
So, is there a plan published for this cabinet ?
