Correction. I forgot to short-circuit the unmeasured winding.

I don’t want to hijack this thread, but what are you planning to build with this toroid??
I’m really curious.
BA-3B Monos with 24 output devices each in Picos toxic masculinity chassis. Yes I could have gone with a little less and yes I will need a beefy soft-start - but this transfomer just fits the chassis in terms of toxic masculinity really well. Also the price difference to 1kVA was negligible. I will post some pictures when finished. 😀

Rs 15r, though repeated measurements with a v4 Quasimodo showed that any value within 9 and 19r would do the trick. Tested both secondaries and results were within 2r.
See oscilloscope photos at Simple, no-math transformer snubber using Quasimodo test-jig
After doing a thread search for Antek, I noticed several others have posted similar results for the same manufacturer at various voltages and transformer VA. I hope that is confirmation of our tool's accuracy, and perhaps also, of Antek's build consistency.

Wow, I just measured the same one yesterday for the F1 build I'm doing. I dropped some fixed resistors in to show my results.

I couldn't see much (if any) difference by adjusting Cs. Cx 4.7nF was what I had available. I think it is good that Cx is a high voltage capacitor due to turn-on transients (especially for tube amps a ceramic 2kV cap is probably not wasted).

Hi, Darrr!
Are the Torodiy measurements from an Audio grade, Supreme audio grade, or normal grade 300va donut?
Cheers,
Andy
As Sixto mentioned above, there's a range of resistance that works okay so the different versions of the 300va Torroidy transformers will most probably lie within that range and you can just experiment to see if there's much difference in the 'sound' with different snubber resistors, or just start with a middle value and go from there.
It is really satisfying to use the 'ideal' value (the perfectionist in many of us) but in this case it isn't so critical and much better to just add these simple filters and 'fiddle' with that resistor.
