AndrewT is correct, ±70V could be marginal in some countries and with some brands of 2N3773.
'In some countries' refers to how well the nominal mains voltage is regulated.
The spec sheet for the part specifies 140V total swing for forward biased operation. With proper test equipment they could be selected for higher breakdown voltages. I got lucky with a set that went into an amplifier running at ±85V, but these came from engineering stock at a major aerospace contractor.
The Altec 1270 used ±75V rails, and the parts list says selected 2N3773.
Back when I was designing consumer electronics for the world market I always allowed for the mains being 10% high, but I was told that for certain market areas that I had to allow for a 20% high mains voltage.
If you want to be absolutely sure, this would imply two pair on ±57V.

hi sudhir
greetings use 47 0 47 secondary ac as voltageis not steady in india
read electronics australia quasi amp a monster in those times still i use it
never gives up can post pics if u want
thanking you

47-0-47 with 5 pair would be safe at 4R as long as the mains voltage doesn't rise by more than about 5%, and you have a real large transformer with 3% regulation (1KVA or larger).
i found two pcb layouts in this thread which one is correct pcb?
PCB from post @294 is correct.

hello sir
can u give me your 166 post pcb lay out..
thank u..
I don't have file with pcb layout for 'bos-100', but you can use picture from post #166 and make your pcb design.
Regards
If i want to achieve 1000watt of rms power,Which is the better option;2x500watt amp + Two big speakers i.e 18 inch(able to handle above power) or 10x100watt amp + 10 medium size i.e 12inch speakers. Please explain because i want to achieve this power but confused about the selection for apropriate power of amps and speakers.
what is your situation?
Is it PA where customers expect to hear?
A 2 channel amp driving a pair of boxes might fail. You will lose half or more of your output.
5off 2channel amps driving 10boxes.
The customers will hardly notice a channel failure. You then have time to find and repair the problem. You might even carry a spare since you are now using cheap components in the system.

I want to use this setup for a gathering of 100 people. Its not for professional use,it is for festivals.I want to know that which setup will be economical and more loud.

CAN YOU SHARE THE TOP AND BOTTOM LAYOUT IN PDF.
With suggested PSU and protect circuit or triac DC protection, and fuses on amp pcb, they can't do any damage.
for this amp can u share the psu,dc protect in pdf format
Simple limiter if you use amp for PA or as powered subwoower amp.
how can i use this vi limiter for 2pairs of 2n3773 in 2x30vac transformer?
what are values of resistors to be change? im planning to make a subwoofer amp using apexaudio's subwoofer filter.
