One can choose PCB and copper thickness but, using the same Gerber, what about the value of L1?
So, one can choose standard 1oz copper on 1.6mm PCB, and thicken the coil with tin to reduce its resistance?
Would it be worth reworking the 'Mask' layers to allow tin deposit on the widest tracks too?

Yes, this is in fact the scope of the inductor 'maskless' area, to allow tin deposit.
Some other few traces may benefit of this operation too. Design is open so you may modify as you wish.

Andrew,
Follow the links in my very first post. You have links to order parts, pcb, trafo etc.
You may want to read Project description, there are all schematics.

You can replace Q9 and Q11 with ZETEX ZVP2106A.

Already tested this seller. Sell real Zetex transistors.

Hello,
I published a maintenance version 1.2.1 of the Q17-Mini on my GitHub repository.
There are not many changes (see CHANGELOG) but one useful thing, I added component Part Number column in Q17-Mini-BOM.html file (and diagram).
Enjoy!

Hi, Is this still the case? It has never been changed in the scematic.... Stef uses 100R and I remember you mentionning something later on in this thread.Correction on R29 and R30. These must be 10K instead 10ohm.

R29 and R30 are 10ohm.
GR grade is low beta. 2SC2240GR grade can be used in place of Q7. Here a low beta is prefered.
2SA970GR can be used as well. Select highest beta you have.

Tibi

Hi!
If you have a plop in the speakers, you can reduce the value of R29/R30. It is however recommended (must) to use a DC protection circuit at ouput to protect (expensive) speakers and stay with 10K.
I will correct R29/R30 on my diagram.

Stef.
