u get what u pay 4, dont worry though the ps1 lcd has very very little screen door effect so its hard 2 notice the low rez
Id save for a lilliput but i aint convinced that these lcd projectors are going to look too great. So im just playing about. VGA res is ok.
Camera lenses work the *other* way

Slide projector, has a prebuilt light engine, and good projection lens everything u need, for like 10 bucks u can find them at garage sales or ebay
NICE!! now do i combine the screen and the slide projector or do i need other additional parts? or can i make it just out of the slide projector??

depends on the size of the screen n ur handyness with a wrench or some kind of tool which can rip out the mechanical parts of the projector, if ur screen is like 3" ur fine u can make a little room and add it in but if its like 6 or 8 then u need 2 make a new box for it n just take the projects parts n rebuilt em in the new box
But since the lens were made for that certain size of screen, moving them will result in a crappy distorted picture. I made my first projector with a "hip Gear" ps2 lcd controller and a slide projector. Loved it, but the picture was mediocre. I decided to buy a ps1 lcd hoping to get better picture, and still use the same parts as in my hip gear but the lcd would not work with the projector because the lens cant focus all of that picture and display it on a wall properly.
ahh k, i never knew that lol i just made that same projector with the hipgear and slide project its great 4 the price except the bulbs die alot n its hard 2 find new ones.
true, at the end of its life I was using a small pot light, like one of those you see in display cases. It was 40W and created little to no heat so I had no use for the fan. It was great, untill I droped it when puting it up on a shelf. Oh well.
40Watt light! dus that even pass thru the lcd lol the original in my project is 300Watt n i only found it on ebay recently lol
i have a 5" screen so are you saying i should NOT use the ps1 screen and the slide projector together? if not where do i get this hipgear dealy and what does it look like?
I bought my hip gear lcd on ebay, for just under $30 canadian. But dont be expecting much from it. These are my results from my hip gear projector.
