Landfall tell me that the new one is/will be 8.5" wide x 3.25" tall x 13" deep. A little extra breathing room. They can't get it made till the end of March, earliest.

Ah, ok. Yeah, the chassis I'm using is definitely a tight fit for everything. The new one sounds like an improvement. Landfall makes good chassis. They also made the chassis that I'm using for Pete Millet's 50 watt engineers amp monoblocks. Those are also very good quality. I think it will be worth the wait.
Did you use Pete's Korg's isolator mounting device or just solder the nutube directly onto the pcb?
Thanks
Thanks
Here's my build of Pete's neat little amp. Used avdesignguru's setup notes & 200K plate resistor (thanks brother!). Used non-fancy resistors but tried to match them between each amp pcb. I raised the one regulator so it didn't sit directly behind the one small cap to reduce heat stress. Mean well unit in back of amp is used to drive the light in the front (it lets the light turn off faster than tapping into the DC out on the cap bank). This is the newer, slightly larger case design by Landfall Systems.
Not a bad sounding Class D amp. No fatigue over time. Doesn't have that typical Class D sound in most of the 3255-based amps. I'll let it burn in for a good number of hours. Thanks to Pete M for this marvelous little project!
Cheers, Pete

Thanks much. Yeah, it runs pretty cool. Even the regulators just get a bit warm but nothing troublesome.
It has been years now that I built the PM class D amp, and just listened to it today. I was surprised at the quality of the sound when I built it and don't have any better ideas for a power amp. Never had trouble with the tubes in any way, and the build was pretty easy as I remember. Sometimes I am tempted to compare this with a newer class D power just to listen for any improvement.
