Very nicely constructed power amp apart from the trafo's mounted on the lower lid. Would deform the chassis easily in rough transport. Rather dangerous binding post output connectors and not rackmountable. This is a permanent install or hi fi type product.
10 pairs IRFP240 / 9240 voltage of ± 90V, the upper and lower lid 6 mm Al

Ranchu32 and Aksa's sweet sounding MOSFET/BJT quasi amp.

Beautiful amp Federman. Does heatsink have holes for tubes to fit? Is there a thread?
I've never seen this guy sharing anything. Like that one from the scottish borders. 😡
I share everything !
Even pics on a few occasions.
OK, no comparison between you and Federmann.
You share your knowledge like no one else here.
What I meant is that I've never seen an amp built by yourself (like no one has ever seen an schematic - with values - shared by the other guy).
This is a bit intriguing.
Just it.

Assembly plant
I do it by hand using solder iron and thin (0.5mm)solder wire.Thimios, beautiful soldering. Did you do by hand with iron or paste and reflow? Wow!

kinda kit
The work I see in this thread is astounding!
Maybe you won't like me posting something that is basically kit work but I gotta say, it's one super-fine, blow-your-mind, little kit: the Nelson Pass Amp Camp Amp.
This is not my first build, this was a test of my junkyard parts heat sink (it dissipates 62 Watts here, more than I'd hoped 🙂 but the darn little amp sings! Use it to get anyone you want hooked on good SS and soldering 😉
