This has also bothered me a bit, but only now in the photo.
The housing however is now closed again. So I don't see the wire and i don't look at the pic and all is fine. 😎 😀

You could straighten the wire on the blue cap.😀
yep, thats the only flaw with the build😀😀. and as catd says, the cabinet is closed, so we will never never see that bent wire again!😉
Hi Nico, hope you are doing fine...

Hi catd,
What a really nice, clean build! You did a great job on that, and I'm not surprised that you are still using it.

Hello everyone
After being enchanted by the sound of Fab's USSA-1, I decided to create version 5 of this superb amplifier.
This new version of a class A amplifier is characterized by more dynamic, higher damping factor and more definite sound, and even if these amplifiers are very close, undeniably the USSA-5 makes its place in the high sound reproduction.
It is therefore with pleasure that I present to you some photos of my last baby with all the PCB that I have to draw, the PCB of the amplifier was designed by Alex MM.
🙂
hello sir do you have the schematic for the soft-star ?
Best Regards
Juan
I wanted to post some proper pics of my finished amp.
At the local audio shop, we connected this up to some Monitor Audio Bronze 6's and then the beautiful B&W CM10's. We were all well impressed with the amplifier's sound and control over the speakers. I'm on a path to building some decent speakers, and then I'm definitely going to buy a pair of the MA Bronze 6's because they sounded truly amazing on this amp.

Mrcloc, woodwork looks excellent. Not a big fan of the glass top but the electronics looks fab.
I was waiting around 4 yeares to solder my dream mosfet amp together, it really was worth it, really suits to my preferences (BJT version with MT200 SanKens is good too but mosfets are more fancy 😀 ).
Happy Easter

Peter, very cool one! I like MOSFET drivers 😎
Thanks Val
The only problem is to get genuine sj313 2sk2013 but the plan B is to use IRF610 and IRF9610 the another drawback is huge Vgs compared to the Toshiba mosfets but winding another 20 turns to the toroidal transformer is not a problem so it is worth of trying.

Dear Borys,
I've tried several drivers on my 3pair precission matched 1530/201 amplifier.
I highly recommend the, unfortunately, hard to find 2sk216 / 2sj79 lateral mosfet drivers. They give me much more detail compared to the 2013\313 combo.

Those boards look really awesome !!
Bensen
Thanks for info about latfet drivers. I would really be happy If You could take a photo of genuine renesas latfet drivers. It is very hard to get genuine ''fancy'' parts.

Love the soft pastel colours! Makes a contrast to all the blacks and dark blues that usually appear in this forum. Nice work
