No idea, not measured but normal for listen music 😉
Absolutely not problem with amplifier overheat.

i see that you are in Ukraine so it is cool most time of the year, thanks

Yes- it is best to avoid any differences of voltage between the elements for best results. It is possible for example to contaminate the grid if its voltage is significantly different!Hello,
I`t clear to me why tube should be conditioned with heater voltage applied.
But why need connect plate, cathode and grid with heater?
Could you explain, please?
Higher load impedance seems like a easy solution, but not a practical one...if only you could materialize the 32-50 ohm speakers the article mentioned, more power would be available...
Kinda like electronic alchemy, I guess...
(My reply makes no sense (even to me) now because I was responding to the interest in higher power, but the thread has evolved to variant topics related to this amp...)

In my project OTL/ESL I am not runing for more power but better transient respons and better 6c33 behaviour. I use to link the Quad's 63 with series primary input transformers, so I get 32 ohms in stad of 8.
It makes sens, but the 12 v supply shall be dc or ac ?Yes- it is best to avoid any differences of voltage between the elements for best results. It is possible for example to contaminate the grid if its voltage is significantly different!
^^ AC is fine.
Do you have anny practical ideea how to clean the terminal pins of the 6c33c, as they are preaty rough after more than 40 years of sleaping in some military warehouse....
By the way, in the rombus seal of that lot is No. 27 (QED)

I've used steel wool...
grid stoppers ob 6c33 grids
anyone did this? i am contemplating using 1k stoppers, what is your take on this?

We use 600 ohm 3 watt devices. Sometimes the tube can arc and put considerable current through the grid stop devices so they should be able to handle a little bit of power. So far none have failed and they've been in service for years. No hint of oscillation either.anyone did this? i am contemplating using 1k stoppers, what is your take on this?
gridstopper + miller c. a/g (triode) creates lowpass filter. (hf, vhf)
rf choke has benefit of high inductance (stronger filter) and low dcr.
