Good stuff! I just added a few bucks to say Thank You for doing this. Your waveguides are a great contribution to the DIY community, and they are superb in the Open Source Monkey Coffin!
I'm very happy it worked so well for you!
Could someone please recommend a 2 way design for the SB21? Ideally with a 5" - 6.5" woofer that would pair with the matching waveguide?
Sorry if I missed it somewhere else in the thread.
Regards,
Shawn

I do have some projects planned, pending the results of my box construction methods thread. I was thinking of a mini-monitor pairing the SB21 with Zaph's ZA14. Then pairing the ceramic SB26 with probably the ceramic SB15/SB17. Would also be fun to use the big 8" waveguide mated to the SB23. Higher end, maybe pair the Bliesma T25B and Satori?
Hi augerpro,
I've pre ordered the new SB Satori MW16TX-4 and should receive it this month...
I'm planning to associate this woofer to a SB26ADC and use your waveguide design ...
I'de like to use the 6.5" (like a rule of thumb, maybe I'll try to use he 5.5) do you have any update ?

Hi augerpro,
Like shining31, i'm also planning to use the 6.5" wg with sb17 alu cone. I feel also impatient to read any update about this 😉

For the SB26 I have 6.5" in 1" and 1.2" depth. Family in town until Thursday, then I'll drag out the testing rig and get to work.
Might be making big jump forward in waveguide design. I started using mabat's ATH program to generate the files that ABEC uses to simulate waveguides, including a representation of the tweeter diaphragm itself as acoustic source! Here are the simulated results of the T25B in ABEC, followed by my actual measurements:
BTW: I believe the off axis hump @ 15khz is the natural response of the tweeter itself, so not captured by the ABEC sim. I've measured the domes of the T25B, SB26ADC/CDC, SB21SBC, and Dayton RST28A. If all works out well, it might be nothing more than sim once, print once.

The post I made, it compares your waveguides from 7/10/2020 to 9/13/2020

EDIT:
It just hit me - I think it's the same waveguide.
I'd assumed you'd made a NEW waveguide this week?
But perhaps you just took the old one, and you simulated it?

Yes, I was just comparing the 5" waveguide from July to the ABEC sim to make sure everything was looking correct. Now I can be confident that the best sim design will be the best real world design.
Impressive work !
I've tried to use ATH some time ago, such a fail 🙂 🙂
Can't wait for your design in order to print it and test it for my high end (I hope) 2 ways !!

Sorry for stepping on this post. Is there anyone here that’s near Dayton or Orlando
What I should have asked is this
I have a nice large format 3d printer and hopefully someone near me could help
Me get it up and working. I bought it almost one year ago and have not spent the time getting it to work right and to learn about it
If the Mod wants to move my post, please do so.

Sorry for asking the clarifying question: is version H just a sim, or is there a released file?

It's real, but since I needed to rebuild the design from scratch to correct some possible print issue, I haven't yet measured the replacement and posted it on my website. I will as soon as I'm done building cabinets for my box testing. Maybe a week or so.
BTW Autodesk (Fusion360) just pulled a photobucket on everyone.
Thanks! I'll plouw ahead with getting vH printed for my project.
Trust Autodesk to not be able to resist charging licensing fees.
Local rendering makes perfect sense, but the 10 document/project limit is fairly limiting, especially with the export restrictions.BTW Autodesk (Fusion360) just pulled a photobucket on everyone.
