in your schematic you show the i-840 at 20% CCSIma, yet in the Slaas thread first page he says i840 is = CCSIma. Was there a change along the way I missed, it makes a big difference in specing the heatsinks.

He means that he is choosing his CCS current for 20% more than his max load demand I would suspect. So 20% of the total CCS remains running in the IRF840 more or less constantly. All gets there if left unloaded.

You've placed the R3 two times.

It's all coming together nicely - a couple of small things that may be worth doing ...
On the LHS board: 1. Relocate the ripple cap discharge resistor - if you use 2 caps simply locate the resistor between them - if just the single 3 pin cap, add donuts to fit that resistor below it (do the same thing for the RHS board) - this then gives you back the room (move the HV track up) to move the R2 like the RHSide (with longer legs on resistor) and ...
2. ... this then allows you to rearange the D5,D6 diodes to RHS of the fet, away from the edge of the heatsink.
3. If you stand R7 vertically, (or move it up to the 0V rail), there is more room to provide seperate 0v track for other components (ie C3) if the o/p terminal is the central 0V point - maybe alter the 0V tracks towards a "star earth" type system.
4. Suggest, change the AC input terminals to the more standard "+V, 0, +V" (centre tap to middle terminal)
5. D5,6 symbols?
No need for double side pcb - hope this helps ...

Looking at the PS schematic, using a 3 pins AC input terminal is not necessary and can caused confusions.
We only have GND (AC ground) and AC voltage (whatever AC voltage is needed), so it's better to keep it at 2 pins connector.
