500 watt pfc is complete,I am using IRF device and will post schematic and pcb later but for now I would like to start with LTspice sim and 1st try of design to start.

The zip file is jzip but can be opened with most all programs,I tried to upload the pdf files for the models and simulation but exceeded zip file size,so you should refer to these appnotes AND8255 and AND8311.If you have LTspice,unzip file to your folder of choice,all models and .lib are included .The sim should run with little problem if any.
This simulates a 240watt llc conveter(24VDC@10amps) and by changing the load you can see the effects in major components of conveter.All comments welcome.The models are Mr.Christophe Basso's and I only converted the appnotes to LTspice format.

Can someone tell me 2 tranzistors that have sot23 pakidge and a colector current bigger than 5A , for a totem pole that drives IGBT tranzistors , i heave searched over the internet and the maximum colector curent was 800ma...
The sot23 is a small surface mount device, WHY do you want to get 5 amps from such a small package?

i have modified you pcb layout to use the vertical mounting of etd49 core.please check
if there's any mistake.ill be upgrading it from 500w to 1kw later.is it overkill.i have connected the feedback to negative supply.will correct it ill post primary/secondary turns ratio later.

Note that diode near 7812 is turned the wrong way on silkscreen
I would also leave about 3mm or more gap between primary and secondary (under the trafo). Primary tracks do not need to be that wide
Also think about primary and secondary snubbers, they can be pretty big (take a lot of space, depends on trafo itself, how good it is)
apart ftom that, it looks ok I think. Btw, take out those big caps, they are not good for this kind of supply, you need small output capacitance, that means small capacitors, but with low internal resistance, if possible to get. If not, more standard ones in parallel

From reading and viewing the above site information on the products they offer, I need a IRON core for the input filter inductor.
And a Molypermalloy toroidal core for the output of the ETD-49
The schematic says 2X20t-2mm for this inductor before the capacitors and after the Bridge rectifier...
I just want to buy some cores that I can wire up to make the design work. Chas1 gave me the design on this or the new thread, it is called acdc converter by X-Fi and has about the output I want at plus and minus 70V. I am redoing the pcb layout and I will post a picture soon of my layout.
I am still reading and trying to avoid as many mistakes as I can before committing to etching a board. Time is my friend here. I have some.
