I already have prepared set of populated SissySIT R.3 boards, just waiting ....
so, in next few days will try these as that
after, intend to try them in both Lazy Singing Bush and also Choked Singing Bush , primarily to compare them with THF51 in same circuit
of course, will mate these Piccolo Tokins with IRFP TO247, not with puck
well, Cody's Pony Express was faaast

Nice! Those seem like reasonable numbers. I have some J201’s that ought to have very Vgs (approx 2Vgs at same conditions.) Wonder if they’d make a good DEF counterpart to these? Though I suppose Sissy has all necessary provisions for balancing with IRFP, so probably unnecessary to use the Toshibas.
IRFP gate down and IRF gate up - are meeting each other perfectly fine
driven gate ( SIT, whatever) is perfectly taken care of (regarding Ugs) with level shifter resistor
now, I did show you how to manage positive gate voltage part in upper rail ( be it Schaded mosfet or who knows what, even bipolar) with depletion mode mosfet in place of IRF510 and then everything again set with appropriate value of level shifter resistor
anyway, most of that already covered in SissySIT R.3 thread - why, what and how
but, I did replied with this only because you asked

THF-51S is better. That's what I'll tell myself simply because it's bigger. And bigger is better.

at least judging by this thread - there wasn't so big number to start with
in fact - peanuts, at least comparing to Elevator Tokins and TO3 Sonys, before that
dunno - maybe majority of stock is pulled from market, to wait increase of interest so price can go up

When and if a good design comes of these Lil’ Tokins, there needs to be “code” speak…. Yeah, these Tokins really Stink, don’t bother with them!
