Still waiting for my kit to arrive. Odd that it takes longer than other countries to post to NZ from AU

well actually i have to say, i thought that was unusual too, until i found that with the greatest respect; your postal system is really pretty ermm i believe the polite word would be 'ordinary'. i bought a set of revelator midwoofers from hasaudio, they took over 2 weeks to arrive (nearly 3) at a cost of nearly 50aud!! WTF! it took most of that time to get to australia according to the post mark; i thought they were lost.

haha yep; but after checking further it would appear as if it was a little later than i thought when they shipped, but still far too long for a service that is supposed to be just short of express, so yes it still sux, because 2 weeks to get to OZ near a capital city is still far too long and the 'tracking' was useless

Reading that, I would almost swear that you're talking about auspost😉

almost yes, in fact other than a few select private companies i could be speaking about any postal service worldwide, but actually if you use a higher end service the speed is quite good, tracking not so hot, but EMS for example from another country, is handled by auspost when it hits australian waters, it rarely takes more than 2 and max 3 days to get to me once it hits customs and most packages leave the senders country within about the same amount of time.

I have also never lost a package to australia post, i have lost several to other countries postal services; so while they may not be the swiftest around, i do find them quite reliable

BF forgot that we were meant to meet today so I'll be dropping over his house on the weekend to pick up the last 2 kits and the cash he owes me.

Has anyone got their refunds yet?

@NST - Since BF didn't have the kits I didn't go to town and drop off your kit. Given that you're still OS I didn't think you would mind. I intend to drop it off tomorrow after lunch on the way home.

All being well this might be finished on the weekend... I will post later everything I have left to sell on behalf of BF but it looks like its a few batteries, an enclosure & panel and a few PCB's. Not sure how it occurred if BF ordered extra or what happened. There was someone a few pages ago looking for an enclosure and panel so I'll chase that up first otherwise it's first message first served!

Cheers

@fordgtlover - By the time it goes between two pieces of cardboard and in an envelope it'll cost no more than a few bucks to post. If you're happy I'll get it sorted on Monday when I'm back at work - away for the weekend.

@nst - I dropped the package off yesterday so your brother should have it now.
