@qusp - buyer beware is all I can say about this GB, I know it isn't any consolation. Hopefully the next one goes better. I'm not saying I'm going to volunteer for the next one but I can say what has worked and what hasn't should someone want to run with it.
Running a GB isn't terribly difficult. BF just made all of the basic mistakes - too many options, unilateral decision making, lack of financial transparency, lack of regular updates and the most important of all... not accepting assistance when he was in over his head.
I've run a few of these things in the past, and I will happily put my hand up to run the GB for the ODA/DAC.
@hochopeper - Many thanks... Looking forward to this saga ending and hearing everyone got a refund and more importantly working amps!
@fordgtlover - that would be great and also mean BF has to 'give' me less money. I can send bank details as a PM or PayPal, your call.
^
Either is good for me. Bank transfer is probably subject to less loss for you, though. If you PM me your bank details I'll transfer the money tomorrow.
Cheers.
And, thanks for rescuing this GB. Without someone local to Adelaide this would have been a nightmare to rescue.

I received the parcel with my kits and front panel from BF when I got back from my holiday. Won't be able to check through it for a while.
Thanks to all who contributed to save this group buy especially DDW.
Just hope BF doesnt try to organise another GB ever again. I have a knack of finding delusional GB organisers.
Thanks,
kffern

since it doesnt look like there is actually going to be any penalty for BF, i doubt very much this will be the end, hes found out that he can screw up right in his backyard and someone will still pick up the pieces
congrats are due to DDW for sure, i'm glad everyone looks to be getting sorted finally, but i cant say i'm that happy with the outcome, he just becomes someone elses problem

@ddw, paid
@qusp, I agree, but what can we do. Hopefully, the admins here can give him a lifetime ban so he can't do it again here. But, beyond that ????

My package arrived yesterday in Japan.
I did not go through the content carefully, but at least there is a PCB I did not order. I will pay for that.
DDW. please send my your Paypal details.
Thanks,
Davide

@fordgtlover - Many thanks for the money and for the ODA GB!!
@Nikon - Sorry did you get two in there? The PCB costs $3.60 which is less than the cost of a beer in Tokyo! I'll PM the PayPal details for the batteries. I'm glad it all got there, hopefully the other order International orders arrive shortly.

@hochopeper - Many thanks. Did you have any luck organising another panel from BF? Still waiting to hear back about picking up the remaining components.
Very much thanks to the help I have received here. I now have all the parts I need (that I am aware of...) to build my o2 and get the other two kits to my friends.
Thank you all for helping.
Thank you very much AussieAmpBloke for the comparators and opamps. They arrived yesterday.
...also RS won the unfair shipping race that I invented out of my curiosity and impatience.
The delivery guy missed me yesterday with the E14 order... and the RS one got here this morning.

why does this not surprise me?......
how about the money he owes you? has he given you anything yet, or have you still been insisting that all the money goes to the GB refunds before you? i would hate to see you stiffed after all this selfless work and generosity
I'm just waiting to post the last kit so I know the final amount but the people paying me direct is a lot easier than dealing with BF, still waiting for a reply to pick up the last lot of components.
I'm taking the approach that I know where BF lives and if push comes to shove a single large claim is easier to get back than a lot of little claims. He told me he would be doing the refunds this week including mine. I'm waiting to hear from one person where to send the kit and if I don't hear tomorrow I'll use a nominal $10 for postage and total what I have spent and hit him up for it.

@ddw, I'm not worried about a replacement panel anymore, its kind of straight now and the buttons don't stick so ... I'll live. I've asked BF to separately refund my plugpack.
Out of the panels I received, one is perfect and the other one is curved in an annoying manner... 🤐
Any tips on best way to get it straight?
Also the holes drilled for the gain and power buttons are exactly the size of the buttons and the buttons scrape and sometimes are a bit sticky. What will be the best way to make them bigger without damaging the looks (at front)?
Cheers guys

Know the feeling!
The holes freed up ok after a few days for me.
I got mine to 'flat enough' and as long as I don't look at it then the imperfect fit doesn't annoy me too much! To do that I had some offcuts of marine ply, I stuck the bent panel between them then stuck a bunch of old textbooks on top then on top of that I put a 16kg kettlebell and left it for 10mins or so. Did that a couple of times till it was flattish then screwed it onto the enclosure. Rough, probably lots of better ways to do it too but it worked. Another idea may be to tighten a vice onto it perhaps.
Also worth pointing out that RS has pointed out in the main O2 thread that if you're using the screws to do self tapping you're actually better off screwing them into enclosure with pcb out of the enclosure then removing them before putting the o2 inside and doing a final fit of the panels. This is because some small aluminium filings may work loose and are suspected as cause of a few prematurely failed o2s ...
Finally got the kits today, spend 2 hour to done up 1 board. It is very satisfying sound quality, only complain is the front panel hole for the on/off switch, the size it too small, it is difficult to press the button, like someone said, it is a bit sticky.
Thank you everyone that make this thing happen, it has been a long wait.

Great to hear that some of the international packages are arriving!!
For me the on/off button stopped sticking after a little use, hopefully this is the same for others too!
