@ddw that is truly amazing! Most of us would have to put effort in to be this frustrating.
My panel doesn't appear to have any of the burring evident in the pics that BF sent earlier. I have just tested out how mine fits - almost.
I am not sure if it is because mine is bent or not that is causing my problem though. I tried to flatten it as much as I could then slid it on and without too much persuasion it worked out! After screwing it into place though some problems are apparent. The gain and on/off button do not return to the normal off position because they catch slightly on the holes. Also the Volume text is partly obscured by the knob, not sure if this is a problem with the design file from nwavguy or something that BF modified.
Attached some pics for everyone. Bendy panel and one final photo of it in-situ.
I'd be interested to know how it fits for any others too!
Do we all agree that there is no way those panels were posted any time other than Friday 6th Jan, since there is no way those stickers for return address were just waiting in BF's pocket when he went to the post office right?
I will have a look at getting a table showing amount owed to everyone now 🙂

I sell on ebay so I'm very use to Australia Post and their rough handling, I would have trouble believing that was done in the post was the package damaged?
No way on earth was that panel bent by AusPost.
Putting the Volume text in the wrong spot is yet another BF screw up.
This is NwAvGuy's panel layout.

Can I ask if anyone else had their forum name on the address part of the envelopes then?
There are some creasing marks on the envelope but honestly the envelope got more creases coming home in from work in a handbag than were evident in the photos my wife took when she opened the envelope (bless her for knowing I'd need them!)
Perhaps this is BF's way of getting back at the guy who pointed out his history to everyone on this forum. I am very glad I noticed when I did and not any later though!!
I've emailed him the photos so I'll see what he says, not holding my breath though. You're right the text in the design has been altered too which is how that 'Volume' text balls-up happened.

The panels I got were flat. I have got a text from BF, I'm meeting him tomorrow to pick up the additional kit I purchased and the panels for the guys overseas. Everyone will then have their kits (provided little fish has his) and I will then have the final amount for postage.
If any of the overseas guys are still viewing the forum I will provide tracking numbers where/if possible and get it to you the quickest means within the $25 you have already paid.
That will only leave BF to reimburse me for the postage costs and plug pack refunds. Since I will be seeing him face to face tomorrow I will emphasise the importance of finalising the refunds.

BF had sticky labels for postage with peoples handle, address and what they had ordered on the packages he initially gave to me.
DDW, thanks so much!
I offered to buy four extra batteries if available. Let me know, in case I will pay you directly.

@Nikon 1975 - the batteries are available. I'll send my back details with the tracking info in a PM tomorrow. Failing that my sister-in-law lives in Japan if you can't transfer money to an Australian bank.
Plugpack refunds
I stand by my earlier assertion that for BF the first priority should be to refund DDW for the shipping cost as he is the saviour of the entire GB and having him still out of pocket nearly a month down the track still makes me uneasy!
Based on what I know of plugpacks already refunded and parts ordered this is my understanding of amounts owed to each person for plugpacks based on assumed $20 value per plugpack as taken from spreadsheet provided by BF where he was originally recording finances.
For any posted locally we paid extra to have the panels shipped later, I suggest we subtract $1 from that owed to each person to cover this unplanned cost. I have tried to make sure the below reflects this change accurately but I am relying on BF's records for those that are international.
This left us with the following numbers assuming only items outstanding are now plugpacks:
zeffa $39.00
Polak $39.00
schlagzeuger $19.00
kffern $19.00
ianrt $0.00
vince3141 $19.00
AncientWisdom $39.00
dontdiewondering $0.00 [I will let you add up your postage costs, I would only be taking a rough guess if I was to work them out]
Munga $0.00
bircoe $0.00
neob $40.00
insideout $0.00
hochopeper $15.40 [read below, rationalised against extra pcb]
AussieAmpBloke $0.00
Sqveak $0.00
Nikon1975 $0.00
bobkojek $20.00
stoiky $19.00
EFHeath $19.00
sashaw $0.00
Little Fish $19.00
Mistertaz $19.00
safetydank $39.00
Manzanita Cross $39.00
coolhead $0.00
nst $20.00
coolguy $39.00
beejones $19.00
MIL SPEC $19.00
musical $0.00
TOTAL $504.00
As previously stated this does not take into account extras purchased at the end. Does anyone have a record of this?
Break down of the material cost of each part of the GB as best I can find:
Normal Parts Order $22.84
Extra Resistors $3.74
Enclosure $14.09
Batteries $5
Plugpacks $20.00
Front Panels $12.00
PCB $3.60
With the costs for shipping, packaging, customs spread across all orders evenly.
I suggest applying these material costs to any extras purchased, I'm not aware of any
Outstanding amounts for extras purchased during the 'DDW phase' of the GB:
hochopeper - 1 x PCB @ $3.60ea (this was amount paid for PCB)
qusp - 4 x battery @ $5ea
I know there were others but haven't the time/inclination for digging through the thread to find everything now.
If others could add to this list we can rationalise the amounts owed to find real amounts owed.

Please first be sure that it is not a problem to ship them. Here they are very fuzzy about them.
D.
ahh hang on, do I owe for the batteries still? i cant remember what was organised there. just say the word and i'll send it through. i had in my mind it was sorted, but i do remember not being sure of who to pay, because i didnt want to give BF cash while it was unsure whether that cash would end up in the right persons pocket....
I wasn't sure what had happened there so just put it on the list, if it was sorted out between you and ddw/bf then we'll scratch it from the list no trouble at all!
A lot of where money goes will probably hinge on how tomorrow goes for DDW, if BF isn't clear on what's happening then I'd definitely rather see DDW's debt cleared the best way possible.
I think fordgtlover may of had an outstanding amount after buying back in to the gb ... he was chasing BF for a long time for payment details with no response too!

all good; well once thats sorted just say the word, i'll check my records in the meantime and if i'm still in the red there i'll sort out whoever is in line for it
Ahhh I see I could have been clearer. I didn't pay for them and was just conduit for delivery. Made the assumption mistake and thought you were in process of resolving that with bf/ddw Sorry for the confusion!

i think thats where the confusion is, i'll check my bank, but paypal doesnt show anything of that amount in the last 2 months and i cant remember a bank transfer, so i think i probably thought i was sorting you and then didnt lol. anyway we'll work out where its going first and i'll send straight away
how did i/you get them without paying for them haha?
i still need to check the bank. we'll see
so did BF really bend your panel out of revenge? sure looks that way.. this gets funnier/more tragic by the minute. i dont see how that could happen without significant damage to the packing materials

Because when BF gave the hand over to ddw he just gave whatever people had requested and is such a great organiser that he just stopped collecting moneys and handed it all over and DDW just distributed as instructed on understanding that a reconciliation process would eventuate after the dust settled!
There is another option. If I take the batteries against my plug pack debt from BF. Then I owe postage + pcb to BF/DDW pending outcome of tomorrow. Then you and I can sort out the battery cost at a later date. But I didn't want to confuse issues in the earlier post with such convoluted skullduggery!

The last laugh is on him from my perspective if that is the case, if he's intentionally bent this panel he has bent one of the panels with neatest drill holes and text of the photos that I have seen. Certainly better than the photos of the 2 he has that he sent to me ... surely if he was to do something like that he'd bend a cr4p panel and send that?!
surely if he was to do something like that he'd bend a cr4p panel and send that?!
that would require more of a mastermind than i have come to expect....
ok well we'll play it by ear re funds, perhaps i can just sort you out with coin in person sans contribution for the amp PCBs shipping. better to wait till the dust settles a bit, but i'd say it'll be going to you or DDW if i didnt pay already
