No-global-loop amplification

I'm curious how many have got them running? We've been helping a couple people through email and PM but haven't heard much feedback on progress.

Early build pics, have tidied up quite a bit since and changed most resistors.
Fantastic and stable amplifier, thanks to Valery and Jeff.

If I didn't design and sell my amps, I would use Valery's. I completely agree with his design philosophy and would love to see more subjectives from builders.........

Hugh

Hi Hugh, thank you for your kind feedback - means a lot to me.

Good to see some excellent builds here - Simpelstark seems to be a rather repeatable design. A few builders had an issue with IPS DC behavior, however, in the coarse of troubleshooting we came to conclusion the jFETs were faulty - after replacing them the amplifier started up nicely. No danger for the outputs was observed though, which is always a pleasure 🙂

Cheers,
Valery

Is it something to do with case still, is the f version also suitable?

I'm actually not sure about the reason. Maybe in this design the difference will not be noticeable. I experimented with bias spreaders working on NS OPS - there are 2 spreaders there, aimed to work pretty much in sync - mje340/350 showed the best results at that time. Later on I just used them without thinking too much 🙂 By the way, in my build I used the ones with fully plastic package (no metal pad), so I screwed them to the heatsink with no insulation pad.

Thanks Jeff, this is what i have.
Yes 4 relays, but why?
Assuming first relay is the on-off, second the inrush.
Isn't these enough for the Silberstack?
We haven't valves or something here.

This board is designed to power dual power supply transformers for dual-monoblock builds. It soft-starts and powers each supply transformer separately and sequentially (less light dimming with big supplies). If you are just using one transformer in your build you can just populate one set of relays.
