Hi Andrew,
you can use 2N7000 or BS170 if you don't have J113(J111)🙂🙂

Hi:
What is the purpose of this limiter?
Thanks
Raj
What is the purpose of this limiter?
Hi,Raj
To protect the speaker and AMP for very high volume. any D class amp will produce very high current at speaker point when you apply high volume it will not stand for long time for this level.

Sorry, Not clear to me and Can you please assist me on my queries to use Micro-Controller based protection?
Thanks

Hi Raj,
Project 111 - PIC Based Speaker Protection
you can do what Rod Elliott did. OC protect use Optocoupler

Hi All,
Good News:
AUD600 Rev3.0 Tested on 18" 4R 1000W RMS SUB WOOFER (Supply Rail +/-75V)
i can't go up to full drive,i can use up to clip indication point. I think AUD600 will give 1400W at full drive may be i need 1500W RMS woofer for full drive.amazing power i am very happy🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂.
BAD News:
My DC protect relay(10A) failed every hour. now i think i need 30A relay for +/-75V supply rail.i burned 6 relays, up to clip indicating point my amp output load comes 10A or more.i suggesting all of you do not use 10A relay more than +/-55V supply rail

Hi Manoj:
Wow great news.
what does full drive mean?
Thanks

Datasheet for 10A@250VAC relays doesn't have max current rating information for lower AC voltages (like 70VAC @60hz). So to be on the safe side I think 30A@250VAC relay is good for 1kW amplifiers.
Also do not parallel small relays(10A) for class D, because there is a possibility that the relays won't turn on and turn off simultaneously.
When the DC protect is falsely triggered and If the NC pin of relays are connected to ground, and the relays did not turn off simultaneously then the amplifier will be shorted for a very short period < 10ms. Enough for the mosfets to blow if the D amp doesn't have short circuit protect.

Do you mind sharing details about it? 🙄
Thanks!

hello sir can i use CD4049 on the place of 74hco4 ?? thank you
Hi,
CD4049 is PIN different one use (from NXP)HEF4069=74HC04

use PC817 for isolate micro from your DC detector
optocupler can save you micro
be cerful my friend
do you work with micro before ?
