Andrejs with his version of the Paradise. He uses a special power supply with " two tranistors " and a lot of east european iron.

Here is Hermann Hoffmann, Herman the German, from Audio Int´l, one of the first High End importers in the early 70th.
He commissioned a team around Phillipp Kemna to modify the Korean King electrostats.
They sounded very open and transparent without any edge or spit.

The next event is the Mini Frickelfest on Saturday this week in Duisburg . I will bring the Satori Monitors.
Maybe i see some of you there.

They have a Hfe mismatch of around 20%.
I will repeat this maesurements with selected pair when i come home.

So that is how it works.....😱 A mechanical crossover fiter.
Yes, the ear can diffentiate two tones when they are not too close together in frequency.
The tones are lokalized on the basilar membrane.
When the tones are very close together it is likely that we hear only the louder tone.
That is masking. The ear has about the resolution of a 30 band parametric equalizer.

Here is one more measurement with the DCA75.
This is the MJE15030, 15031 pair.
This trannies have very low Rbb`of around 10 Ohm and would be a nice pair up to 10mA if there whould not be a big Hfe diffence of more then double. Here the PNPs are much stronger with Hfe over 300 in 25 pairs i measured. The NPNs hover at under Hfe 150.
Also as predicted by Kean they do not match well in the saturation area, so they are not that good for current mirrors, something they have in common with other higher voltage BJTs.
