This is a really stupid question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere:
Is the paradise a mc or mm phono stage? Or can it accept both with different parts?

In its essens, it is a mc stage, so i guess it is possible to lower the gain for mm use,
But how, i will leave to the experts to explain.🙂

I have run it as both.... I made a second riaa circuit , by scaling the Riaa components that could then be switched in parallel with mc riaa components. (lower resistors;higher Caps)
With the higher MM input impedance, you may have to adjust the input-offset.
With the higher MM input impedance, you may have to adjust the input-offset.
With the risk of sounding naive🙄
Why not attenuate the MM PU with a simple 47K potmeter, and keep the paradise as is, that way you will have the 47K load for the PU, and at the same time a low output impedance and signal to match the input.
Maybe too simple or....?🙂

Santos was asking if it could do both, so a simple thought from a simple mind(mine) Question. will a setup like that have other problems than the additional noise from two quality resistors?Hi pdul
would you mind telling us whitch MM deserves to go to Paradise ?
by post #1 I read follow:
"MPP stands for my phono pre"
What means the abbreviation "MPP" ?
maybe Master Phono Preamplifier ??

A nice, and enlightening, article to read 🙂
