are this the capacitor c8 in your preamp
10x 200pF 63V 0.2NF 63V 1% EMZ KP HI_END FILM/FOIL CAPS FOR AUDIO ! | eBay
and c5 like this one
50x NEW ERO MKP1839 (axial mkp1837) 8.2nF 400V CAPS 1% HI_END TUBE AUDIO ! | eBay
ps thank you for the answer
Yes.🙂
What was your output signal voltage level?
Your software probably uses averaging to reduce the noise floor, which will make the results seem quieter than they really are.
Incidentally, your choice of MC input stage is quite noisy. You can improve the SNR by perhaps 4dB by connecting the two triodes in parallel and using a simple anode load resistor, instead of stacking the two triodes.
I do not use the MC stage because i have only MM cartriges. Therefore i did a short test with one channel with the measurements as posted before. I listen with my ear nearby the tweeter with my amp on max. and there was no extra noise with or without the MC stage this is for me the most important fact.
Still using the mini-me as favourit phono preamp.
I have a new ortofon 2m blue mm cartridge on my thorens td160 mk2 and it sounds great.🙂

Do you use the 1st or 2nd mini-me? I am interested in making the second one due to smaller board.
I use the first mini-me. It has a more wider and bigger soundstage(tube like)The mini-me second edition sounds more dry( sand like).
You can cut off the MC and impedance selector part.

Whys is that? Is the circuit different?

The difference are the tubes and the anode voltage.
6n16 versus 6n28 and 160v versus 48v(80v v2)
Mini me second edition V2 sounds natural in between of the other two.

Here is my version of \mini-me and 6N16 preamp in one case.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Nice buid. How does it sound? Have you done any comparison? Any hiss/noise on your build?
Mini-me and 6N16 preamo in one box.
Hi everyone,
Here is my phono stage build. For MC amplification I used Lundahl transformers LL1941 and for MM part I used Mini Me schematic ( thanks Ronny for sharing it with us). It sounds awesome. I'm using it for my Thorens TD-309 TT with AT33sa cartridge. PCB was designed by a friend of mine and me and they were made in China.

Great looking phono preamp.
Thank you for posting your experience with the Mini-me.
After building several different phono preamps, i also like the mini-me.

Thank you Ronny,
One little thing I want to try, to use silver mica capacitors or polystyrene in RIAA circuit. What do you think?
Regards,
Sorin
Polystyrene/styroflex(1%)are my favorites for riaa filtering, silvermica for cartridge loading.
Vishay mkp1839 i also use often in riaa filtering.

Nice, I found polystyrene with the exact values at farnell, LCR is the maker. Do you have any experience with that? Any other recommendation on maker?
Sorin
Is there any chance of having the cad files available?
I can give you the gerber files. The design was made in Sprint Layout.

Yes, mine are with Designspark. This program is free. Just send PM with your emailadress.

No experience with LCR. Just try and listen. I use a lot of n.o.s. Philips.
Not polystyrene but als very good is vishay mkp1839.
I just replaced RIAA capacitors with polystyrene. Big differences in sound. They are LCR FX type from farnell.
