It's still ok if you don't care about more VDS across the CCS MOSFET for less Ciss. Also gives more Vin-Vout DC safety distance in places with worse than average dropping mains voltage during the day. For those reasons I better recommended 15+15VAC after the first period of builds.
There is no reason to have distortion if everything works correctly. Unless there is a very long interconnect with a very low impedance load at its end to drive. Is there mechanical chatter in the output relay maybe? How does this distortion sound?
Why TO-220 diodes just for flyback protection across the coil pins of relays? Cheapest 1N4XXX diodes do as well. Nice with the coins as pressure pads to spread mounting force on the Mosfets.

See for basics first, as if you do have +/-10VDC PSU outputs, few mV DC Offset in the audio outputs, no relay has mechanical buzz, things like that. Also what it does with the CL-60 or without it. What transformer you used in the end, and how much voltage it gives across the AC input connector?

Hi, nice to know about your final success. Congratulations. The fix was just about replacing those fake 2SK117s in the shunt regs area? What diy power amp and speakers are those in your last picture?
10k pots are acceptable for the Mez. Can feel bit brighter if super clean switcher pots vs 20k because the circuit's bandwidth opens more (PotRout forms RC lowpass with 2SK170's Ciss input capacitance), but quality track pots are warm and should not tease at 10k. Besides, those 5 Yen coins with hole in the middle are audiophile approved vibration dampers for guaranteed sweet highs 😉

Is there enough SPL produced in your room for such speakers and amps with a unity gain buffer like the Mez is? The smaller FR types are traditionally not that efficient. Especially if baffle step corrected. The bigger speakers in the pic should be easier to go loud.
It's enough volume even 3" fullrange for apartment dweller in Tokyo.
And I like listening quiet at night.

It is big difference to avoid DSP volume.
