Should have said “to attach the stone to mass load” - the adhesive itself would do nothing.Or just use a soft curing adhesive to mass load the enclosure’s top & or side panels? Kitchen countertop shops likely have oodles of sink cutouts they pay to have carted away, and you can rent a wet tile saw from many larger building supply stores.

I built a lot of speakers
Sand, IME, not taken any constructive critism or solid suggestions, just blithely ignoring the science and ad carrying on without heed.
YUou are at it again.

Bitumen is always nice to have.I have damped with bitumen tiles before.
Mostly in CD players.
But have tried in speakers too. They are sold with stickers on the back. Sold as damping in cars.
Can't remember how good it was but it didn't hurt.
I used for several project pure lead.
Very proper glued en fixed to the panel.
The more mass the better 👌 💪 .

Good call (no surprise there 😉 ). That's one suggestion that's really good & an exception ('exception' being the key word there) to the basic 'mass isn't a virtue in isolation'. A high amount of mass on the very top of the enclosure loads all the panels & any relevant feet into the floor. Which is no bad thing. A large pot plant on top of a box is a good option. I like Boston ferns myself.Should have said “to attach the stone to mass load” - the adhesive itself would do nothing.

We are into the fabricating phase . Thank you all for the good recommendations.

Scottmoose, are you nervous about how I will judge them here in the Netherlands after the superior replica including my improvements?
@Hondasnl
A little simplicity and humility.
We are here to exchange ideas and experiences.
It's an Audio speaker that we make, not a bunker to wage war on

No big deal. I'm happy to simply leave people to read the thread & make their own mind up as far as technical matters (or anything else) are concerned, as they wish. I've provided the factual information and background -that's it. Although I do have a problem with the drawing above which claims the speaker was designed by our friend, which is an outright lie. He's made that drawing, but he certainly did not design Lhotse, which was done by me, and is the joint property of myself and Markaudio Ltd.

Hi Scottmoose my friend your drawing is not complete / final and full with questions and suggestions. People like to see how its really built.
The sketch is what it is, and is perfectly sufficient to allow people to construct the enclosure, which is it's sole purpose. Whether you like it or not, nobody else to date has had any issues, and you certainly have zero right to claim that my work, and my / Markaudio's property is your own. If you want to put on your drawing 'drawn by', that's fine, but you cannot state 'designed by'. That, my friend, is called 'theft' as well as an attempt to appropriate my work, and my and Markaudio's property.
Let me explain something (again): I appreciate polite questions, opinions and feedback. All of those are great. What I don't appreciate is:
a/ Somebody who doesn't know anything at all about the acoustic or structural loadings (which I do: there was a large amount of testing and modelling that went into this range of enclosures, neither of which you have done) making statements based purely on their own opinion as if they are fact
b/ Somebody who pours out insults. Water off a duck's back, since that doesn't reflect on me, but it's not likely to 'generate a positive atmosphere'
c/ Somebody who then tries to claim 'credit' (or blame, for that matter) for my design. There's a bit of an irony here, since on the one hand you pour out abuse at the person who actually did the work you apparently can't, and on the other you're quite willing to both build it and claim it's yours.

Hi Scottmoose if you don't like my improvements and comments on your basic design you can remove all my posts, no problem.
