56W or 56V.. if it's 56 Watts.. it won't do the job for either. I'm looking at 300 - 500 Watt SMPS for use with the L15D
If it's 56V, then the L15D is the choice, 55V is the recommended voltage in a 45-60v range
The L20D has a range of 60-80 with a recommended of 70V

Not sure, there is a lower limit, below which the circuit stops working (oscillation stops?).
I did see something on one of the threads that suggested that some components could be adjusted to run at a somewhat lower voltage

ljm_ljm: I have a +/- 60v 500w SMPS power supply from Connexelectronics (very nice). Which amp would be better suited to fit the power supply: L-15D or L-20D?

The use of voltage should not more than the highest voltage, this will not security.

You are going to use a switch power supply, switching power supply I used in the L15D, and L15DX2 above
(IRAUDAMP7S-150).
They are all very good work, and my client installed in the L15D car above. Use a
DC12 > +-50 V switching power supply.
As long as you change the voltage of power supply is less than 10 V +-basically do not have too big effect.

do you have any plan to produce lower wattage version with IRFI4024H-117P and IRFI4212H-117P output device? the version with IRFI4024H-117P would be interesting since it could be potentially powered with 2 x 12V SLA battery.

L15D can be directly used in DC +-25 V
But you need to change a few resistance. IRAUDAMP7S reference.

I see, so if I change the resistance in accordance to MrSlim pointing on page 37, I basically could turn down the power requirement (and gain as well?), while still using the IRFI4019 output device?

To me, it looks like you'd have to change the Zeners(OVP and UVP) since they relate to the power supply voltage used, but the clamping diode looks like the same part number in all cases.
IRFI4019 has higher VDS compression than IRFI4024.
And IRFI4020 also is such.
They can work in low voltage. But IRFI4024 may not work in high voltage.

I've noticed that the l25 version is available on ebay. Will you ever release the l10 with IRFI4212H? It could be the best choice of who is not fully satisfied with his t-amp power 😀

Temporarily, I don't have IRFI4212H.
But, L15D can use lower voltage, modify the resistance data .😀
