I have Wadia 16 and Krell Schematics

I have a Wadia 16 that I bought in a scrap yard! I sure could use any schematics or other dada available.
It was partially disassembled and there are a few components “scraped” off of the circuit boards. Wadia was unwilling to help me at the time.
A few caps are missing and two oscillator modulars have 3 of the 4 leads broken. They are marked with frequency's so I think I can find them.
Th3e top cover is missing but I have little hope of finding one, so I’ll fabricate one.
Thanks in advance,
Technical

Hi everybody, here are the pdf docs I had from Doug (thanks to him). I hope it can be useful to some. Glad this W16 thread lives!

I could add that the W16 servo board is nearly the same than the TEC VRDS 10. Same number : TEACServo PCB 52103447
It differs as far as I know only with the Wadia little PCB (middle right) which I don't know the use...

That little board is a new/better clock for the servo.
I think the Wadia 16 as around 5/6 crystals oscillator for control the jitter in every place.

Thanks in advance, pspentax!
Yes you must be right about the jitter rectifier Wadia PCB on the servo board, it looks like that. I've got a few things to fix before I put my W16 on the table again... (a friend's Harman-Kardon ST-7 turntable, another friend's TD184 Thorens and a Grundig FineArts Tuner), a painting to finish and so on...). I hope I can be back again on the W16 soon 😉. Fortunately, I've got other CD players and drives to play in between.

I think the first thing I'll have to do after having dismantled the W16 is to check VDD on U491 (5V). See partial schematics below.

I haven't done that yet and when I see the schematics it appears to me that I should have done that. I checked C491 but I hadn't seen that there must be a zener (Z403) and a capacitor (C492) somewhere (I didn't see or search them before), and that these components must be working to feed U491 (µPD75212ACW chip). Correct me if I'm wrong.

A nice fellow from down under asked if I got more docs about the I/O board, here are some files I had forgotten which could be useful. I hope they'll complete our knowledge of this outstanding player.
You'll find schematics for Decoder Power Supply, DAC left and right Analog circuits, DAC Clock circuit, DAC Digital circuit

Cheers!

CD loading and unloading is a dirty limit switch problem.
If your remote controller does not work, check if it emits the light. Point it at your mobile phone camera and see if the Infra Red diode emits light.
There is no problems with capacitors in Wadia 16, and whoever says there are, has never seen one and is purely speculating.

Limit Sw and remote control OK. But no loading and unloading via remote or front panel buttons. Remote work fine vol + vol - and all other buttons work fine except related mechanic control buttons play, pause, stop, eject.

You say that if you open the drawer and close by hand and power on the wadia it plays?
I don’t know, but maybe the problem is coming more from the servo board.
