Hello Kenev,
If you want to just view the design in a gerber viewer, I suggest you install gerberlogix viewer.
If you want to import gerbers in a PCB design software, sprint layout imports the gerbers to appropriate layers and lets you modify the design as required.

Prasi

Hello Prasi,
I tried to import the Gerber files in Sprint Layout, but I get the drill holes spread over a large area outside the board itself. See the attached image (here, I have imported just the bottom copper and drill data files).
Thank you,
Evangelos

Hello Evangelos,
There are some settings with sprint layout while importing drill layer ... do explore those options, it solves the problem of inches and mm drill layer coordinates of gerbers in sprint layout. I have done this many times before, but now I no longer have sprint!...so i wont be of much help here...

Thanks, Prasi,
I played a lot with the parameters of drill data and, finally, I managed to sort this out. In particular, "Unit" has to be in mm and I had to try a bunch of combinations in "Numeric format" to get a proper board.
Anyway, thank you again.

Aha, the DIY bugger!,🙂
did you listen to the sweet dynamic music?
One experience (shared by others) , do use a very low impedance psu, like a big crcc or something like that.
Never use a cap-mx!

How i can listen, i'm buzy building. 😀
Mr. pcb you always inspire me.
No prasi i didn't listen yet.
No cap. multiplier, good to know that. 😎

Or you use a Cap multiplier to make sure it’s quiet and then add some extra big capacitor, that way you don’t ´hear’ the cap - m
This is what I did.

I must stop somewhere....
maybe, finally with this amp you will be able to stop, because the sound will be fantastic

I don't think that i will love a low watt amplifier🙄😕
Except if i can buy hi sensitivity speakers

No,i must build the TGM8 and the USSA5 and.......😉maybe, finally with this amp you will be able to stop, because the sound will be fantastic![]()

My PCB and transistors were an old kit from Jim’s Audio on eBay generously given to me by Fab (USSA5 designer), thanks Fab ! The kits didn’t have the output transistors so I ordered some from ON semiconductor.
My amp is not the typical 8W, I used higher rails (+/- 17Vdc) w bias (1A) to get about 15W / ch. I have attached the schematic, notice the big cap following the Cap-Mx.
Have fun
Eric

Hmm... So the list goes on.. you are really certifiably addicted to DIY.
You can expect a gift in mail from me in another 20 days

to add to your above list😀

Nicely done Eric, yes the huge cap after cap-mx should help a lot.

Thanks Eric.
Nice done! I see a 200R resistor between the collectors of the drivers. Is it your mode?
I can't see this in the original schematic.
I have used, 2sk246,j103 for input, all other bc550, 560,TIP35,TIP36 as output.
2SK246,J103,2SC1845,A992,MJL3281,1302.
2SK246,J103,2SC1845,A992,MJW0281, MJW0302 all combination works well.
Unfortunately i haven't any 2sk170,j74
BTW what is the max allowed voltage.
Thanks Prasi! Always generous!
Regards.

Nicely Done thimios.. interesting music.
How does it compare to the other low power Class A amps you made..
Regards
Prasi
P.S. Who was laughing towards the end? I can see the recording device also shaking a bit😉.

I haven't any other low power class A amplifier but i think that using high efficiency speakers this one will be a monster!Great sound!Nicely Done thimios.. interesting music.

No amn't me who laughing towards the end,it is the original recording. To zempekiko tis evdokias (Orxistriko) Manos Loizos (1971)
Do you have any pcb for TO-3 output transistor?
I have some 21193 metal can from a great donation!
Do you have any pcb for the 30w version?😎
