🙂 No probs there Guy...Yes can agree with the you there regarding the strength of the cutting disks, I have found that the genuine dremel cut off disks do last longer than the 'imitation' (for lack of better word) disks though, but yeah still could be better, I guess if they were Dremel wouldn't make as much of the green folding stuff now would they hehe

I figured since I live in a garage the metal finish and grills would suit hehe , and ma PC is silver so it will match up nicely with that too 🙂
Soz again I couldn't manage a screenie for ya bud :-( I know ya very keen to see it working, won't be long now though as you can see 🙂 Thanks for your encouragement and the interest you have shown throughout the thread to mate, much appreciated 🙂

Well....Still hot here in OZ, and still no "working" projector as far as screen shots go. Upon looking over the PJ and thankfully speaking with Ace da man, he bought my attention to a fact regarding fans that I knew about, and thought I had taken measures against (and as u will see in pictures to come) was entirely un called for LOL ...but better safe than sorry. For those that aint aware...a fan has a dead spot the size of the centre for approximately the length wise of the diameter. (hope that makes a lil' sense) In front of that before mentioned centre of the fan. To account for the heat issue in my current design I did place a cut out of ali on the centre circle of the fan, but after speakin' to Trev and thinkin' of the close proximity of the fans to the lamp i fabricated a heat shied for both fans...he's a couple of pic's of what im trying to explain. (yep me mate came to the party and dropped by his digital for ma again hehe)

Fabricated the frame to hold the mirror in place also, combined a lill' heat shielding into this also, was preeety happy the way this came out... it is made of one piece of 1mm aluminium then hit with 850 degree heat resistant paint...heres a pic of what im on about.

The wires ended up in the mirror box, again as in the last PJ I utilised terminal blocks to connect the wires, also incorporated the fan speed controler in there to "Tame" the big fans...have them running at around 1/2 speed...more on that in a bit...looks a little like this---->

Was rapt got it right .... and everything worked LOL dialed in the fan speed controller to have the fans approx 1/2 speed and ran the lamp for 30 minutes... After letting it run for this time I could actually put my fingure on the centre of condenser for a good 30 seconds before it got too hot! I could leave it on the outside of the condenser indefinately! My mirror doesn't even get warm...period! the fan heat shields get luke warm!

Cheers Part.... LCD goes into tomorrow so shall have some shots of it in action with a lilttle luck mate 🙂
RESULTS?!?
All these pics of the projector, and no results yet? Fantastic build, but if it doesn't look that good on the screen, it don't mean *****, right?
So...?
I built the PS2 2.6" LCD in a slide projector, like the others found in these forums, and the results are impressive for $50, and I'm ready to do a 7" or 15" project. I'd like the 7" for obvious size reasons, and I'm impressed with your building skills. Can you gather all your pics and howto into one or 2 pages, once you have pics of your projected results, like maybe on a moblog?
