MERAVIGLIA!!

codyt and Mr. Pass,
Thank you very much. I have everything lined up to build a F2J.
This is the first time I've seen an F2J mentioned – that'll be fantastic!
Hello,
I was too late for the game but still wanted to say thanks for all the efforts you are taking. Thank you Cody and Nelson.
Best, Tom

Me too.
Thank you very much Nelson & Codyt.
Never thought i can have so much luck.
Would be very interesting to upgrade my AlephJ ->AlephjJ
F2J seems also very intersting. But i have no speakers for such an amp. And for Headphones it would be overkill.

I have the speakers, not sure about the preamp. I’m using a VTA SP14 tube preamp and it usually likes to see a higher impedance. It has a 1uF coupling cap on one of the output, so I’m hoping that will be enough and I don’t have any noticeable low end roll off.
ZM,
Thanks.
I was looking at the manual and it stated that it was 10k. But looking at the diagram I see it is 47k.
Thanks.

Probably a second cup of coffee is a good idea. 🙂
yes, I admit, not enough coffee these days 🙂
though, I've read this (saved in my old trusty personal can), and looked at enclosed schm:
The F2's that I have updated with the JFETs need the
following changes:
R6 = 47k
C1 = 10 uF
Z1 removed
The potentiometer must be re-adjusted for minimum
distortion at 4.5 watts (symmetric clipping) and readjusted
after an hour.
The distortion results are typically a reduction from about 1%
at 1 watt to .25%.
