@ Erlend Sæterdal:
Hypex compared to FO is much more artificial and fatigue. When I listen to FO everything seems much more natural, colorful. Every detail is much better extracted. Paradoxically, the less treble, but they are easier to hear. These are my first impressions, because I do not have time for long listening sessions.
@Theodosis O. :
This Sunday I will listen FO using the unbalanced inputs. I will write impressions of sound without transformer.
@ Amnes:
This Sunday I will give you full information about the modules used by me and their connection

Today, the first time I listened to the amplifier I built based on the modules "first one amplifier". First impression: WOW !!! The class better than my another amplifier based on the modules UCD400HRX. Cool!!!
Hi! Congratulations on your build and result. In your pictures I saw that you use Balanced and unbalanced inputs separated by a switch and a transformer??? I would like have the details on that..
Also in the middle of the pictures i see a "soft start???" or something? I would like to read the details on that also...if I could...
greetings,

You can read the article on Audio components grounding and interconnection in the wikipedia here.Hi! Congratulations on your build and result. In your pictures I saw that you use Balanced and unbalanced inputs separated by a switch and a transformer??? I would like have the details on that..

It is quite huge but useful and they have a section describing the balanced unbalanced switch as well

For softstart Lazy cat came up with this simple 3 components schematic over at VSSA thread, maybe you can adopt that to whatever model or brand of SMPS you intend to use.

Is that better than the embedded soft start in SMPS1200 ?
Is that better than the embedded soft start in SMPS1200 ?
Imagine not and if soft start is embedded then think use that feature is the way to go, post was not to make any confusion what is best : ) but to show a working simple schematic network to inspiration the soft start request by Xerxes75.
Thanks Maciekw,
Did you notice any sound degradation when use the LL1540 ?
When it is better with or without the trafo ?
After several hours of listening to music using the FOA, I can say: for me there is no audible sound degradation with transformer input.
Also, there is no difference between listening with a transformer, and without it.

Looks good.
Is the capacitance not big enough on the hypex SMPS since you have made 3 times bigger than usual. ?

Based on my own humble effort, sound quality is also (as in linear PS) dominated by the quality of capacitor used and by the total capacitance, even if SMPS seems technicaly flawless. I am about to make the same with Hypex than I did for Connex.

If experiments are successful, it will make me think if there is a benefit in buying "premium" SMPS.
.. a glimpse of what was happening in Sin Bin 😎
we need more info about this beast
Very nice beast LC!
Question for you... Are those original WBT Nex Gen binding posts or copies? If copies, could you please send me a PM of the source?
Thanks

First One was best all the way.

all seen in pics are genuine parts: WBT, Mundorf, SMPS, FO L ..Very nice beast LC!

First One L
Hi maxidcx
You're right, monstrous First One indeed, look below what I got at measuring it, all three pics on 4 ohm load. Square wave's shape & step follows slew of the signal generator, actually FO's slew alone is few hundreds V/us. FO L is a rock stable in all conditions, even hot as hell.
How's volume control with display and remote?
