Good news..
I discovered that on the very first powerup of My F6 build that my Bespoke Tube pre pumped the driver cones.. dramatically, at on Or off.
Turned out that My tube pre also significantly reduced the sound quality of my F6 . Enough to think it was a Mid Fi piece. It isn't 🙂
Odd, because that pre worked quite well with previous amps.
Regardless, when I replaced the pre with a simple cobbled together stepped attenuator I got Massive sound quality improvements.
On reading your experiences, I'm even happier that my pre is gone
Besides it had unresolvable background noises... slight, but persistent
Whereas the F6 is Dead silent.
It was suggested I build/use a BA3 as pre.. now working towards it.. slowly
Hopefully there is something useful in all the above.

The BA3 is only really necessary if you are lacking volume coming out of the F6 into your speakers.
Try BA3, I think you will like it better than just a volume knob, I did, and better than B1 as well. Just my 2 cents
Yes that volume bit did cause pause
I'm having NO issues with volume at all with the 10k pots.
Bass that I can feel in my belly and Sweet extended detail.
More loudness than I can tolerate if.. I crank it.
Sounds are very good, even on the 3rd floor of my house (floors are open/vaulted as explanation)
System is on 1st floor. Large volume/space possibly helps acoustics.. certainly doesn't seem to hurt.
Frankly I'm well pleased.. as is.
But hey, I defer to better experience/judgements.. willingly.
On course to a Ba3, and if it improves sounds ? Bonus !

You may not need for gain, it's just nice to have and it sounds good. Glad you F6 is pleasing you. I like mine, I know that much!
Sounds like a good idea. I have dcb1 for now.Try BA3, I think you will like it better than just a volume knob, I did, and better than B1 as well. Just my 2 cents
Will try BA3 as well.
It should follow the bom from the BA3 pre amp build thread without any changes right?

Benefits of BA3
1) Extra gain for insensitive speakers.
2) Adjustable harmonic distortion. Tune it to however you like.
Benefit of using volume pot
1) Less gain stages in signal path. Always a good thing.
2) F6 has it's own buffer at front end, no need for separate B1 buffer preamp. It already has one.

Congrats! But, no pictures, it never happened. 😉
Try converting them to compressed jpegPentax K3 camera Apple Mac
Steve.
You dont really need to print A0 posters, which you can do using your nice pentax camera from the screenshots you are attaching))

Upload your images to the Mac, beware of where you place them for quick access.
Use built in iPhoto to shrink the photos.
How to Shrink a Photo in iPhoto: 10 Steps (with Pictures)
Most digital cams has a selectable image resolution.
800x600 or lower is an OK size for uploading to the forums. <=400 KB is good.
I'm sorry I don't use Mac or I'd give you better instructions.

Very impressed with the sound.
Still need to finish the case and reverse one of the LEDs.

Leds are a funny thing on this amp...I followed the traces, used a multimeter to find the correct orientation....but one didnt light up...well, it had a tiny dot of light. Reversing leeds fixed it.
