Mihai,
The silver mica caps are on route to Romania.
No info on how long a letter will take though, can take a week.
(but much faster than a package, according to the postoffice)

I don't know where the hum garbage is coming from, i already hunted it, i tried isolating earth of the PC, then i found that the hum starts when i connect the players mains cable. If only amp is switched, on the noise level looks quite clear.
But using the soundcard as signal source gives the "horrible" measurings. 😉

Hi Mike,
probably not the main problem, but may turning the mains plug 180 degrees help any?
Cheers Michael
Mr Dudek hasn't posted he's in need of a specific component yet, Pavel. (about the only one in that region i'd consider hand delivery)

Pavel,
see my 2 previous posts. Half joke, half true.
I'll even rotate the mains plug for Pavel Dudek, intelligent and funny guy.
You're going to tell more on the MHz stuff on the other thread ?

MHz - yes - reduce them at 20 - 30dB level and listen to the result. Audio designs suffer from HF understanding.

I had tried that, it only changed that the hum disappears when switching of the power of the player. Obviously a 1-Phase powerswitch and a cheap PSU, contaminating the ground. As it is a SMPS, i'll keep my fingers away.

Yes, i bet that ! 😀
Oh damn, i can't risk that, you will see my wiring and loose any faith in me... There's a lot to learn for me about that.

Jacco,
Thank you very much
If you need something that I have, I will be glad to help you!
Best regards,
Mihai
Ooops, jmateus no longer has a unique symasym...
How did that happen ? There is a writing on the pcb to avoid that when letting pcbs manufactured.
But, if you consequently mirror all transistors it will work without problems, but that's gonna be tough with the outputdevices !
Don't forget at the very end to also swap supply voltages !

I started reading this post yesterday but 260 pages is too much for me 🙁
Can you tell me wich version of the symasim is actually discussed here? With a schematic? And what are the main differences between the symasim 5?

Hmm, not all of them are inside this bag ! 😀
BTW, how did you fit the TO220 instead of the TO126 ? They have reversed pinout ?

It's easy with the outputs also. I will mount them on the other side of the PCB, upside down.
What do you think about the aleph current source for symasim? ( The one used in nelson pass's zen ver2 and 3)

Is a simple diodebridge + capacitor + voltage rectifier chip enough?

Because I wasn't paying attention? 🙂
Found the bag, will finish up tomorrow as the PSU is now done.
