Yes...it is good to use.
Dx Blame can operate with any supply voltage...and can put out any level of power...it is flexible.
Here a sample of the Dx Blame ST playing together a tube pre amplifier Aikido.... audio and video recorded by a Nokia N8 cell phone.
If you need information about..... all details posted in the thread named Dx Blame ES..... please, read it entire, from the first to the last post..then you will not have the need to make questions as you will had all your doubts solved.
Please, take some time to read in advance to post questions....thread was made, opened and feeded with posts, in order to concentrate all the data people may need to assemble...also made to save us time to be answering each one that has doubts... avoid us to repeat stuff we already have posted.

Juan
You know dear Juan...i have spent half century
researching and building units till i found this one....what can i do?.... let these guys spend 50 years searching or point them the one?
I do think is is more fair to point the one in the place to let these folks to do all the job i did searching for a good schematic.
I do not sell...so...i have no commercial advantage..... if they build or not build will not pay or harm my accounts...if i am pointing is because i do believe what i am saying.
They can assess it as arrogance .... but truth is pure sincerity...i do not mind what they may think...i have to obey my own conscience and do my best to others.
Tell them how many billion dollars you earn with pcboards....tell them.....that you still have some pcboards...that no profit entered....the opposite...we may be in the red.

Carlos

You know..down the seventies.... after more than 10 years
failing while building schematics from magazines i found something good....one turntable that has an amplifier...the cartridge was ceramic....but even this way the sound was nice...the turntable was a Garrard.
The factory was called here CCE.... a group that visited other countries and use to buy models not sold in the International Market....then they used to import to Brazil, to put Brasil in the back panel and to sale inside our Market that had some poverty related to new designs..... so.... things not sold because ugly or other reason where sold here...and this one came from UK.... a lovely amplifier that had transistors marked TIP3-1 and TIP3-2.... latter i have discovered they were TIP31 and TIP32...sound was awsome.... i have build a magnetic phono amplifier , increased capacitors in the supply and the sound resulted lovely.... no schematic and the unit was so good that i had no courage to dismount to copy the pcboard layout to figure out the schematic....model was CCE AC132 (picture)
Years passed and the unit was sold, i travelled elsewhere, out from Rio de Janeiro, to the extreme south of my country and the search stopped by 2 years long.
Returning to Rio i have returned to search and no way to have that sound...that lovely sound...from that turntable... and no schematic provided...no way to have it...and years passed by was even harder to have schematics..... Brazilian electronic industry forbidden to import and the Brazillian factories in a struggle to protect schematics not to be copied by competition...no way to find and i go ahead searching.
Then, in 2004 i found something that sound alike...the Dx Amplifier born....and others came from it...and then Blameless.
Now a days i have found that schematic...very old....40 years after i had it...and it looks alike the Dx amplifier...so...that was the way i found it back again..... the good sound i have listened 40 years ago...and now that kind of sonics is in all Dx Amplifier models, in special in the Dx Amplifier, and Dx Blame ST and Dx Super A...so...i am pointing what i do think it is the best.
Got it folks?.... i do not earn a shilling if you build or not..only the happyness to know i have pointed something that can drive you happy and can make you smile and dance.
The AC132 schematic was something i have watched latter on the release of the Dx Amplifier...i have found something alike using my memory of sound quality...the emotions such kind of schematic can produce in my brain/heart
.
It is being sold, in the Brazilian free market (Mercado Livre) now a days, by 700 USD... a very poor stuff.... thin anodized in black front panel, fiberboard covered with vynil... magnetic shield made by card paper and thin sheet of aluminum...but the sound quality was awesome....well...i had to reduce level from preamplifier a little... a resistor in series made the job..then distortion started at 75 percent of the volume knob twisted up.
That's it.

Carlos

Is the Dx Super A really better than the Dx Blame ST?
A better idea is to use Silver Mica compensation capacitor:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7p8w-heXh8
Capacitor in parallel with second VAS emitter resistor is not used anymore...better not to use it.

Carlos

Yes..... looks really good...was made by Carlos Max Andres
We are discussing in the facebook diy clubs, about filtering to an amplifier...then i have made the video below to help them...also in english because there are some folks from this forum that may like too...but maybe mainly to my people.

Thank you! ...
... Mr. Carlos,
Let me please share some other pics, from that very first release, on January, 2011:

I can say it was a great pleasure all the time I spent during that build in late 2010. Specially for the final results: a lovable and flawless sound quality!
Thanks to Mr. Carlos!!!
Guys,
I finished my first DX BLAME ST and i'm getting a strange problem.
After puttin it on, the 100r resistor of the negative rail start to smoke. Tested: Output transistors - OK and i'm starting with 160ohms on the trimpot.
What u guys think that can make this problem with the Blame ST?
The voltage across the 100r resistor is 19V. Too much high than the 5v expected by Carlos instructions.
Many thanks,
Felipe

Did you insulate all power transistors ? sometimes even a bit of contact can damage some areas please check continuity from all collectors to heat sink, that is one step make sure all resistors are the one specified by the layout check for cold solder joins use a magnifier and try to see if there is any small particle of solder between tracks, also check if the small signal transistors are the correct ones, lastly post pictures of the bottom and top here we have many wisdom diy guys that can help I hope the voltage is not to high from the power supply take your time it happens to all of us not always work the first try 🙂

Don't use temporary resistors in the supply rails...............i'm getting a strange problem.

use a Mains Bulb Tester to power the amplifier until you have proved that all the wiring is correct and that all the components are inserted the correct way round.
The resistors act as very slow fuses and are useless at protecting the amplifier from mistakes in assembly.
If you use the BD139/140 be shure if the srew or bolt doesn't make contact with the collector trough the mounting hole
I found the drivers all open, changed them, checked others the others BD139 and they are all okay. Output transistors are okay too.
Power on on the DX and... negative rail smoking the resistor. I will take out both resistors and power the amplifier with mains bulb like AndrewT said. I think with some voltage tests I can figure out what is going on.
Vargas, Yes! I double checked all of them for shorts.
Smartx, Yes! Double checked.
The only thing that is different on my circuit is the bias trimpot. I used a 1kohm one (starting with 160ohms, 158ohm read on the VTVM) because I didn't found any 470r on Brazil :/
