Do not worry about that Max...build it the day you want..the week you feel strong to do it, the month you feel the need..the year you have the time.

Hello Carlos, I made some changes to the layout of the red plates so as to place a larger capacitor and also put the two transistors Q9 and Q10 to the side of Q8.
I do not know if everything is correct, because I could not do in the paint and used Eagle windows 7.

Caro fratello, my brazilian friend may answer you soon...maybe he has

some troubles with english language...but i can help.

Scratch the fiberglass board surface using a steel brush, or sandpapper of fine grain, or sctch brite cooking pot brush (sponge), the produce a laser printed copy of your silk screen image...transfer to the board using hot iron technique...then use transparent varnish to "seal" and protect the surface.

One more Brazilian from my town built the Dx Blame ST

It seems he have appreciated the midranges, the fact that thermal compensations worked great.. after 2 hours temperature was 44 degrées celsius and then he continued to play and temperature goes dropping (lower power obviously)..... he removed trimpot and used fixed resistor for bias.

DIY....made because passion...tuned by ears.... almost a copy(tuned) from one of the best designs ever made.... it is not a business...so you will not buying any Rolls Royce for the Chairman, it is green, environmental perfect, we do not waste energy in class A .... we use class AB for less power consumption, less fuel being wasted for electrical power generators.... has no profit.... created by one of the best wide world audio amplifier designers (Self).... tweaked by one of the most demanding fanatic audiophile (51 years building..more than 6400 amplifiers built...more than 300 units bought and sold after clean, listen and compare).... something that was based in the know how posted by a lot of good guys in this same forum...i have learned from them a lot of tips and tricks...so...the amplifier is a result of all these things... research, try and error basis tries, studies, papers, amplifiers published, schematics found in magazines, in the internet (after 1990), in patent published, in several world forums, in books (I have read almost all famous ones.... more than 20 books are my reference...the modern and better ones).

Build any Dx amplifier and come to the sweetest Multinational Corporation, the place you have a job when you build a Dx amplifier... you become automatically a Corporation's member...your picture will go to the hall of fame and you will never be fired from this Corporation.

Brazilians are nice...also Europeans from all countries, also Asia folks, Oceania folks and Africa folks.... everywhere we have fine folks, cooperative folks that wants to share things for free in the place to make a buck from everything they see....these are the nicest ones..the ones that makes because of passion...different than the tradition to sell our souls to the devil to make a buck of it.

I would like to put stronger transistors as VAS: maybe parallel 546 for the first and for the second another one which I already bought but whose part number I can't recall now.

Dx amplifiers does not need high end speakers in order to sound finw .... these speakers are the most greatest junk we have manufactured in Brasil, these CCE units are awfull...you see that even this way you have a good sound....this Doctor Self amplifier design is unbeatable..i do think he never made anything better than this one.

Yes, it has my touch, my work on it, my tuning..but the real great thing is this low distortion generic design made by Dr. Self.... he was the one that pointed us the way to follow..simple and good..beat easy any full complementary circuit having double differential, with or without fets or anything you put..this one eats them in the breakfast easy and rolling into the floor.
