New models will not give you sonic advantages... they are the same amplifier

just adapted to higher voltage and higher power... a few resistances are tweaked only..anything special on that... the input impedance is now higher in order to accept 1uf in the input without low end losses.

Dx Blame sound great because of topologie and choices of current...not because of parts..not because of special parts...sounds the same with junk or fashion parts as i could see testing and comparing...it is excelent because came from a very good design, the Blameless of Doctor Self..and all Blames, copies, clones, options and versions will sound very good and almost the same.

The new models are beeing made for special applications: (release December,24)

- People that needs to use 2.5 ohms speakers...and the power will be around 180 watts rms... in this case the Dx Blame MKII

- People that has non efficient speaker, and because of that needs more power to move them all the way out and in.... in this case the Dx Blame MKII Supercharged.

Both models are beeing tortured to be sure they will survive...boards layout ready, schematics ready and i am just testing them a little bit more.

You can go to the Dx Blame ST.

Matching of transistors are needed for these two units at the differential pair...also it is very interesting to match them into the driver's position..but understand what matching means to Uncle Charlie...matching to me is variations of gain, measured with normal multimeters, DC gain differences not bigger than 20 percent....not needed to have an NPN with gain 100 (for instance) and the counterpart with gain 101....you can have plus and minus 20 percent...one can be 80 and other can be 120.

This is what the daily practice is showing me as executable....and that does not harm sonics and also does not create too much problem to the off set that usually goes lower than 10 mV (it is acceptable by industries to have off set around 25 milivolts).

There are hundreds of transistors you can use... do not bother yourself to use this or that output...use what you have available..they are cousins...they are almost the same..differences are but not so huge as they go competing one to each other and they HAVE to make them in a very standard and similar way.

About power transistors:

You need transistor that can dissipate 200 watts of power
You need transistor that can face 70 volts from colector to emitter ...or more
You need transistor that can face 5 amperes from colector to emitter
You need transistor that has gain higher than 50 and lower than 120
You need transistor able to work at 100 kilohertz.... also if 30 Megahertz will work fine too.

Transistor has not it's proper sound...has not goodwill or badwill, nor good mood or bad mood...they are transference resistors only... alike non very linear variable resistances in series with the supply...it is myth that one transistor sounded better than other..you can compare and you will see they sound almost the same.

There are some small advantages in the high end when the transistor has low capacitance and higher gain at very high frequencies.... this give you less distortion into the highs, higher slew rate and sometimes the treble tranference to the speaker is a little bit easier...you may see, for instance, the 2SC2922 and counterpart can put a little bit more treble..but the advantage is less than 2 decibels...a hell to listen that...means while playing with them you have a little bit more treble...but another one can do the same if you advance the treble controle 2 decibels...or move it from 12 hours to around 2PM.

The main advantage Sankens 2SC2922 is because the unit is OLD and famous..there are other more modern and better units in the Sanken line..but not very new,not very famous... the unit is huge..big...has easy transference o heat that you have troubles to apply solder to the colector lead, as it makes a fast transference of heat that goes dissipated by the huge case...it is good to face power and torture..a beast!

But, as the main advantage....also because big, huge, famous and good..there are enormous interest to pirates to produce fake ones....much more easy to find a fake than to find an original one.

But, dear friend, be welcome to the Dx Corporation in advance....but my dear..if you have belief special parts sounds special..them you should use them..or you will be always thinking you may be loosing something because used junk parts.

regards,

Carlos

Blame ST power supply and speaker protection PCB's (beautiful red/gold german boards)
Tested and fully working.
Next up : amp module

The coil was wound using 1mm coil. (ripped out from an old crossover inductor). 40 turns, triple layer deck.

The Dx Blame ST was inspired, or almost copied, or cloned from Blameless design made

by Doctor Douglas Self.

Dr. Self have made research trying to find the most pure amplifier possible..something that would never include distortions into the audio amplified...his main target was THD..then he made an amplifier circuit that would distort less the 0.002% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion).

The idea behind the name is that no one would Blame the amplifier..if something sounds wrong or bad...people should blame speakers, audio source, room acoustics, pre amplifiers or the owner ears... the amplifier would not include strange harmonics or distortions...it would be the most pure amplifier ever made.

I have made modifications, as i perceive it can have some "sonic signature" that only a bootstrap circuit can give..but basically, this one is the Blameless design made by Doctor Self..started from it..was copied, assembled and tweaked.

I hope i could explain you..if you need anything more, then please, let me know.

Build the Blame..it is the best you can have.....i have build more than 5000 amplifiers, and i have listened to hundreds commercial units...no one can beat Doctor Self Blameless design...i have made nice make up into the circuit and i could achieve some kind of sound I BELIEVE AND FEEL as unbeatable.

Down you can see schematics attached.... the basic Blameless idea and the Dx Blame ST schematic.

Carlos

Write to me Andrewlebon.

My health is fine..thank you..i am still loosing weigth..now around 30 Kg less.... my targed is to loose 100 Kg, and this will hapens in more 16 monthes.

carlos.eugênio1951@yahoo.com

I have selected two beta testers...one in Brazil and other in foreign countries...make contact because you are one of them.

I was waiting you to make contact.... new amplifiers release in December, 24....my Christmas gift to whole world... to all countries, to all races and to all religions.

😀Hello mr. carlos, I,m very glad to see that you,ve recieved at least 1 package out of a total of 3..With a little bit of luck you might recieve the other 2 psckages. Also let me reassure you that the transistors I,ve sent you are all orginals NO FAKES, Since I always buy from the manufactures directly I can avoid problems with the fake parts.😛 I must also state that maybe you still might get your boards from Mr.Rudi,,I really believe he sent to you and to me,,It,s that sometimes our packages can move very slow:snail: Oh well please enjoy the transistors.😀 Evette

I am also sure Rudi has sent...i have no doubts about that

I believe he is decent, and my belief about him is 10 thousand percent!

I hope will arrive..nice transistors dear Evette...lovely smaller powerfull ones i have received.

Well...do not know if this one is the first package sent by you...i will check dates and inform you by email.

I am glad you are fine.

regards,

Carlos

Strange things happening dear Andrea Lebon

Yahoo has informed me you do not exist!...ahahahahaha!🙂

Funny thing Yahoo does....you know... competition is sending viruses to Yahoo...sometimes Yahoo becomes slow.

I suggest you to try another adress...to make registration in another one..do you have MSN adress... these Hotmail adress?

Mine is nanabrother@hotmail.com....but you should inform me using forum PM, as i do not use to visit MSN, or Skype, or Facebook.

I am daily at Youtube watching videos.... there i am using:

destroyersoueu@gmail.com

Well..alike everybody i have tenths of adresses..but i do not use them...i do not even remember the password to use them.

Writting to optional adresses, you should inform me that sent message to other adress than carlos.eugenio1951@yahoo.com .... this is the official, more often used adress.

Had you the knowledge that you have been extinct, in the same way
Dinosaurs did?:wave::wave:

regards,

Carlos

Hi again Destro

I was looking the blame component layout and noticed a funny thing. Capacitor C16 and C22 have their positive legs going to the ground plane on the board? Is this because the other -ve leg is actually going to -v. That way the -ve leg of the capacitors are going to the side with a lower voltage potential than 0v/gnd?

Also would you recommend a simple introductory book into the world of amplifiers and electronics to get a simple person like myself some more knowledge?

Regards

niss_man

These ones are filtering the negative side from the supply

Observe what happens with the power supply...you have two condenser in series...in between them you have ground...and this ground is connected to one of them in the positive side and the other is connected to the negative side.

Them you have two free points to filter your symetrical supply...one is positive and other is negative.

I hope this clarifies

regards,

Carlos
