where can i find the blame st schematic to see the changes?the pcb used is the same as with blame es ,right?
Here you can have it dear Mouna.... the name there is Dx Blame ES
The new model name was to make people forget the multiple problems we have in the early begining of this thread..... the amplifier is not too much different.

Yes, it is the newest model, the one i call Dx Blame ST
correct..you have understood correctly.

I will be happy to see....do it without hurry.... at least, i use to make a lot of
mistakes because i do things in a hurry..crazy to listen.
I wish you good luck.

BV whats the purpose of the diode you posted?i believe itr has something to do with clipping...can you explain?

Yes, you are right. You can see influence in attachet simulation picture(clipposw) .But it is only minor improvement.BV whats the purpose of the diode you posted?i believe itr has something to do with clipping...can you explain?
Much more (inevitably!) is needed something like diode D12 in attached schematic. It can avoid destruction of Q6, Q8 and whole amplifier at clipping and you get much faster and cleaner recovery from clipping.. Influence at output signal and Ic Q6(so IbQ8..) is in second attached simulation (clipnegw). 0.7A ( IcQ6 current without D12) is too much for BC546...

Hrvatska (Croatia) representative to East European Countries
Is Doctor Daniel, Engineer, living in Osijek, Croatia.
He can answer questions about, he can assemble, he can sell, demonstrate and use the Dx amplifier the way he want.... Authorized dealer.
He cannot modify the schematic, without change the brand name by XXXX, by Daniel
I know him very well.... six years of good conversation.... i trust in Daniel.
So, wanting something, questions, a consultant in your language, search for him following this link;

The diodes proposed by BV are the simplest approach to get reliable clipping.
How would you describe someone adding to his ignore list all the people providing the best ideas?
Almost everybody complaining here can do things better than Carlos.

Rudi has informed me that he has connected one of his Dx Blame ST .... just one
While he is waiting for some missed parts.... the pre amplifier was not connected..this is very good, as evaluation will be to the amplifier, not to the "system", the pré amplifier plus the power amplifier.
He said appreciated a lot, the sound was very good, he used his own words and made me very happy..the amplifier was Lilí....my wife's name.
He informed me, also, that is not possible to compare with the Dx amplifier, the standard, as sonics are much better to put them into comparison..... i have perceived the same.... my old fellow, the lovely Dx Amplifier really has not chance to be compared.
Made my day with this...also informations from Volker said he is satisfied, also Luka and others...i have not complains.
A very important friend, from Croatia, will assemble...and this one is very skilled...since very young (he is not old..maybe 33 years old) he used to travell to be present to almost all demonstrations of high end happened in his country..also he used to buy and sell, ...and much better, he have not appreciated the comparison i have sent him ... Quad 405 versus a tube amplifier..he pointed several errors..also told he can make better valve amplifier..in other words folks...the man is demmanding... this kind of people, always find the weak points...and i trust he is fair, and will tell me the real thing about...he has no envy, the opposite, he use to cooperate and is alike my fan, even knowing more than i know... he respect me a lot.

Carlos

When I powered on the 1.st channel of my BlameES yesterday evening I used crocodile clips and attached them directly to R29 (left blue arrow on the picture below).
Allthough I have been using very old, second-choice speakers, I was delighted with the BlameES' sonics.
I have listened to Eva Cassidy "Live at Blues Alley": a very smooth and tender sound, lots of trebbles in the heights, not shy at all in the bass, very clear and expressive voice and guitar.
After some time I attached the crocodile clips to the output of the relay that is part of my speaker protection circuit (right blue arrow).
Listening again to Eva Cassidy I felt that some of the trebbles in her voice have gone.
She sounded more clear, more precise, but with less (very small portion) emotion.
Is it so that a relay may veil some sonics?
A relay is nothing but a mechanical switch, another 2 solder points. Right?
Is any relay suited to be used in an audio circuit?
Did my ears play a trick on me?
Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Let someone else blindly/randomly move the clips from one position to another (or to the same), note down what you think it is, see if you reliably hear a difference and what sounds best.
Anyway, those crocodile clips are much more 'wacky' and variable and unreliable that any relay, so the point seems moot.
jd
Rudi, you might try to listen to the amplifier just after power turn-on and then after some 2 hours, the amplifier must remain turned on. Same song, without relay. Try to find if there is any sonic difference between the 'cold' amplifier and after 2 hours of being supplied by power (transistor operating points settled).

I really do not know...but i know something about Psychology
You have listened the first Dx Blame ES outside your home..and you found it mufled first time..then bias was readjusted and you perceived it fine.
So.... you are afraid of that same sittuation, and your ears/brain is making a joke with you....you know, we perceive, listen, and evaluate, what we want to perceive, or what we are afraid to happens once again.... but this disappear when we continue testing with other musics and when we loose the fear..comparing with other helps a lot.
First wife...well... i had passion by that woman having Denmark ancestors..i felt she was sweet..she was not..i have convinced to myself..year passed i found she alike a snake..ready to byte me.... so..... you see we perceive things the way we want.
Or really something is going wrong...i really cannot discover that beeing so distant...maybe Pavel can go to your home..he is near Germany.... if i was living near you.... less than 500 kilometers and an Autobahn or Air line..then i would be
with you giving you a helping hand.
I have never listened this defect/efect... tone changing..first time in my life....well...living and learning new things..we gonna know, near future, what is the cause of that.
regards,
Carlos

Hamburg is about 900 km from here, but I visit southern Bayern (near to Muenchen) every year in summer.
Was the relay powered (on) when you have made the first aligator clips test?
I am sorry to say we can fool ourselves.... the reality is that humans does that all time long..everybody does, of course including me..we twist the reality because our needs, our fears, our emotions.... our needs.
Once i was making a demonstration of Aksa to my friends...comparison with my amplifier, the Dx amplifier..then i was switching and they go evaluating.... then i stop to swith the real switch and started to switch another unit, another switch connected to nothing!....and 2 friends have perceived differente while i was switching nothing to anything.

Carlos

Carlos, I think the reason for this is mere psychology.
My 1st impression, immediately after the 1st power-on, was very deep (beautiful tender and smooth sound, lots of trebble, emotion, strong bass, from the 1st sound on).
After one hour my ears got accustomed to that sound.
After the second power-on then, the crocos plugged behind the relay, the "AHA-effect" - after turning on - was gone.
Probably (I bet) the same sound - but this time no surprise since I already knew the BlameES sound, but my brain said:
"Not as after the first power-on", since it remembered my impression during the first seconds and minutes listening.
"Must have to do something with the relay then".
I think it is the lack of astonishment after the second power-on that made me think something changed.
I will once more listen to the BlameES tonight after having assembled the second channel and report my impressions.
Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Well...if really there's a real reason..then you gonna find out and very soon
I am very curious..seems i will learn something new...and this is really very good.
