Dx Blame ES .... based into the Blameless, i am trying a new amplifier

@Dudaindc,

the marriage between my BlameES and my "DIY - PreAmp" will be soon.
So far: everything works as designed.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Allthough Stefan Dreyer's DIY - PreAMP also contains a relay-board

I will assemble one by myself because I do not really need 8 sources (too big for the back-panel of my wooden enclosure)
and I want the RCA plugs alone to be fastened to the back panel and will run wires to "my relay-board" - but of course
will maintain Stefan's schematics to control ""my relay-board" with the µC.

@Carlos:

You know what I like: sound, sonics.
I will finish the BlameES - the best one I ever heard.
I will of course use "my design" of the PCBs.

This PCB-design (incorporating the PSU and a LS-protect circuit, drawn with MICROSOFT's PAINT program) plays "rock-stable" since more than 3 months at Volker's home - and it sounds "like a divine".

This is the BlameES - thread.
Maybe: there will be a "FOKKER" thread.

And maybe: I will ask Stefan Dreyer to publish his "Universal Pre-AMP" - a GERMAN DIY - project, an absolutely "MUST-HAVE" - in this forum as well.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Thanks Heinz. I am getting old too. Catching up to brother Charlie. Need stronger glasses and stronger vitamins.

Here's the updated drawings (PCB and layouts rev. 1.5b), including the updated copper and BoM this time. the schematic hasn't changed (still 1.5) but I included it here again just to keep things organized.

Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully no more mistakes.

I started and assembled the right channel of my BlameEST - my "Rachel Board":

Some of the parts (power capacitors and MICAs) have gone out and I have to drive downtown to Hamburg and buy some.

But I will finish tonight/tomorrow.

Amplifier designer likes this way.... you can read the discussion and voting

we have made between Dx Corporation Crew Members..about the subject..this is in the Precision 1 thread, the one is in the main forum page.

Read the entire thread....then you will have your answer.

But of course, you can build the way you want...but build some..and share with us your good work.

regards,

Carlos

Here you have.
This helps a lot after construction, helps to check when building, and after you build will be an excelent tool to check if have assembled parts correctly.

Sadly, the 'art' file is too big for both this forum and Greg's DX website. It's really not very big, but certainly over the limit at 460K. This updated and corrected version of the drawing offers 'layers' in Adobe Reader, allowing you to hide/view different component types. For example, you can hide everything but the resistors, if you want to see them alone on the PCB. That may be helpful to view while populating the bare board.

If anyone wants it, just contact me via email. (Click on my username, to the left of the Canadian flag.)

This is a pitty Todd.

Forum is much more important, so, you should have made them in separated files... and i think you have the master ones to convert to pdf...this will allow us to post.

Also, i am afraid will be a problem to Greg....he used to reduce image size in the past..maybe to save bandwidth..well..he can talk by himself.... i do not know his know a days connection and size of memory he can use.

Greg site is super usefull and important..but forum..here is the main advertising site for DIYers..here we need the good image first.... after people felt passion watching your image, then they decide to build and last they go to the site to collect details without the need to read all thread.

At least, this is what is happening those last years.

regards,

Carlos

Temperature is going down, it is raining daily, and several times a day

at least this morning i am having nice weather...cloudy and confortable.

This way, i will do something after shopping to have fruits and vegetables.

I have invited (asked please, in the name of God) to the guy to build the Dx Blame ST, to have a feedback from him..because the one produces tube amplifiers and use to travel to be in all high end amplifiers and speaker demonstrations that happens in Croatia....his feedback will be good, skilled, experienced listening and evaluating, someone that loves amplifiers from Doctor Bora (me too!), someone that loves tubes (me too..despite not building, too much expensive to me)... someones that appreciates Aksa Lifeforce (the same happens with me) someone that is a source of precise feedback..someone that even having the risk to bother me, will say the real evaluation..the real thing.

My local friends said the amplifier is unbeatable, all them building...all them removing former amplifiers from their shelves... i think they are rigth...but they are not extremelly skilled as my old and good Croatian friend.... i have strong suspection my local friends are flatterers, because they really likes me, and they are ready to be kind... to much kind, i suspect, in this case.

Another one is very good to evaluate, this time measuring, is Pavel....a very good enginner, but not friendly, i cannot trust anymore.

This morning, temperature dropped to 28 degrées...this is confortable to me..it is below the average.

regards,

Carlos

The amplifier can operate from 12 to 42 volts symetrical without modifications

To higher voltages, then you have to increase electrolitic condensers insulation voltage, to use more output pairs and to recalculate some resistances because higher dissipation.

Of course some transistors may need replacement.

Just let me know your intentions to build..your supply unloaded voltage and your supply power... then i will inform you modifications if needed.

So, you can assemble with the voltage you have.

Carlos
