Hi !
I already have a very good +/-15 Volts linear PSU.
Is there any drawback in using +/-15V,
instead of the +/-17 Volts recommended in the documentation ?
Thanks a lot ......
JM
(17V is the maximum voltage acceptable according to LM4562's datasheet)
Using a +/- 15 volt PSU is not a problem.

Hi,
A question for the specialists please : does a good Cermet pot could be good enough or even better than a carbon pist one?
Vishay P11 : http://www.stquentin-radio.com/telechargement/documentation_pdf/potentiometre/C408.pdf
Or is there no impact on the sound because the design made by Douglas Self (5K linear pot & huge gain) ?
(By the way : is it the fourth edition of his book which is going to be launched ?)
Many thanks,

Eldam,
Many do express a preference for them, however I would not expect these to fit the solder footprint on the PCB. I think that you would be happier with the Alps (or equivalent) that are specified in the BOM.
Thanks Carl,
I even didn't see the size was not good 😱 !
I ask because Pedja Rogic wrote an input about cermet pot he uses in his amp...
thanks for your input & advice above.

I have a few questions:
1) How much is the kit?
2) What op-amps are used?
3) Are all the parts available from Mouser?
Thanks.

See post #541 for the details. The intended op-amps are the LM4562 in DIP package.

Well I finally boxed it up. First thing that I installed in a case in over a year. I bought the Slimline 1U case from the DIYaudio store. 280mm deep. I still have to devise a label for the front. I was going to use water slide but the front panel is brushed and I'm not sure how well a decal will stick to it.
I made a mistake when I laid out the back panel and drilled it the opposite of what I had intended, so the PSU ended up on the left side of the case. I wanted it on the right so the controls would have been more centered. Everything works fine as is I just would have preferred it the other way. The only thing bolted down is the PSU. The other boards are held in place by the front and rear panels. The stand-offs are there to prevent the boards from somehow touching the bottom cover.
Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.
Blessings, Terry

That looks really, really good Terry. Congrats!
Looking GOOD Terry. Also, i believe the waterslide decals would look good on that front panel. You can always do a test on the backside it.
