Berkeley is a genuinely different place. Very charming people
with a different outlook on things. In any case, local humor
often refers to it as the People's Republic of Berkeley.
😎
Nelson,
That's pretty funny! Most anyone from Boston would refer to Cambridge in the EXACT same way..People's Republic of.
Surely an equally unique area...

Which brings up those terribly terribly offensive 😀 maps of the US one can buy in Cambridge or Berkeley showing the East coast and west coast with nothing in between......

Kind of like the students ears who attend those colleges.
😉 😉
There are places that self-consciously strive to be unique and there are places that do it effortlessly. Only the second group manages to achieve uniqueness. It's a Zen thing.
Come to think of it, the same applies to people....

How about some sort of simple X'ed class AB amp, maybe like an X'ed Zen V5? Hey, you asked. 😉 😀

That answers the question where all those Commy ideologists went to in 1991 !

Some Audio history : did you know the term High Fidel-ity originates from Cuba ?
Turning a Hafler into a LindsleyHood, that will quiet Variac down !

Not Likely 😉
If it can be done you will hear me cheering all the way over there!!!😀
Mr. Pass,
I recall requesting that you publish your findings on driving ribbons from current source amps. You said that that was on the list and upcoming. I suspect that it is part of the Kleinhorn 2 project. Perhaps you could simply publish an addendum to the current source amplifier paper giving those spiffy AP{ charts for the drivers that you have tested since the summer (including the ribbons and the new FE166). I can wait for the Kleinhorns.
Thank you
Regards,
Graeme

Thanks for reminding me. I'll keep that on the list, although
I don't think I'll be making a product for it.
About the crossover, on 2/5/04 Moamps posted schematics on
the MOX thread which were pretty identical to the ones in the
XVR1 manual, including the discrete gain stage. I dropped the
project, as I didn't wish to add to what was already on line
unattributed.
