I mean the backpanel kit🙂.....https://diyaudiostore.com/products/...w36B68UoWVWRETXReoMgEMVaazdH32HAyzQBY_IAFNdkQ
Yeah i did have a look and they do have the rca's with the xlr style housing but I don't think they fit. Might as well order it at the diyaudiostore. More expensive with the customs and all but it's an expensive hobby anyway.
Those RCA's are from Neutrik, and are around the world praised for there quality. Exactly the same as on DIY store. They have nothing to do with XLR. The outer housing is for mechanical protection. Whether you will have room for them in your case is hard to forecast at this point.
By the way are you familiar with the Dutch word "eigenwijs"? 😉

Yes I'm🙂.....ok thats good to know. I was looking at the dimensions and Gianluca wasn't sure either when I send him the link of the audiophonics rca's. But then again I need alot more then only the rca's.....something to think about...I'll just wait untill I get the chassis and then make a decision....no rush here

Online retailers like Mouser.com Farnell.com Thomann.de and even Reichelt.nl sell Neutrik too, so you can order them together with other electronic parts to save postage. There is also the China made Neutrik-NYS without the outer protection ring.Yes I'm🙂.....ok thats good to know. Not really.
The D-shape outer housing is the same dimension as Neutrik’s other panel mount connections, like XLR.
This makes it convenient for one size panel hole cutout to fit many different options.
This is clearer

The outer housing is a universal size, mechanical protection is not the main function.

Like I said, its for protection. That's why the RCA is mounted inside the housing, so it cant break when hit. Or if the amp is put down on it's rear. They are made to suit mobile PA use. That the base plate is the same as on there other components like, XLR, speakon and even power entry's does not change that. It would have been weird if they had given it a different base plate.
I am very happy with these. It's easier for me to drill holes than any other shape...Online retailers like Mouser.com Farnell.com Thomann.de and even Reichelt.nl sell Neutrik too, so you can order them together with other electronic parts to save postage. Gents,... with the 2 transformers both having 2x42 vac with 2 fullwave bridges per channel,.. I'll be needing some powersupply pcb's. I saw these on the diy store. Can they be used for various setups?... ie: with centre tap and without?... I reckon so but not a 100% sure.

Reguarding supply assembly and star ground, one way to do it, simple and quite effective is as into my Gamut clone, see picture. A piece of copper wire with a loop is the ground point between both +v and -V caps. This is the star ground point were all the ground are connected... No connectors, no special pcb, just a piece of copper wire...
