Thank you Theodosis. I feel comfortable with that cap. When I am back home next week, I will check if my EF3-3 board offers equal room for it as your EF3-4 board.@OmeEd, This Kemet fits. https://gr.mouser.com/ProductDetail/80-F461BS105J250A
So you have used a 47uf/50v...
I asked because you will need a higher value, something like 100 uf in accordance with the continuous effort for further improvements.😉

Hi Thimios, I see that BOM recommends 47uF... Why are you suggesting an higher value?
Gaetano.
This is the value for now but this amplifier is still under polishing.🙂Hi Thimios, I see that BOM recommends 47uF... Why are you suggesting an higher value?

That is no explanation as to why 100uF is an improvement of the performance of the amplifier. It also seems a bit unstructured to throw in new component values like this...This is the value for now but this amplifier is still under polishing.🙂
Just a quick explanation. We are currently looking at the option of having a 10K input impedance, as some people have requested it. This will mean that C9 will need to be increased to 100uF.
With the present 22K impedance the 47uF works fine with very low distortion at 20Hz.
Once testing has been finalised we will publish the results.
Edit: A 100uF cap can be used for both 10K and 22K input impedance without issue.

I will add a same one underneath. 😎

Hi Guys,
Thought I'd start to order components for my forthcoming build, so I'll have more chance of hitting the ground running once I've received the boards, in due course!
And I've hit the well documented component shortage regards TTC004B, Q pre-driver which I'd intended to use (I'll be running at ~50 volt rails). Have some on back order at Mouser, but who advise me today estimated availability will now be early December!! All other usual suppliers seem to be the same lead time, looks like they're all awaiting production and supply ....
I managed to find only 4 available on eBay UK so I've bought those anyway, but I'll be dubious about their quality until I can check them and might prefer not to use them anyway!
So - forgive me if this has already been noted and discussed before, but would anyone be able to recommend as suitable replacement that is currently available? Or would I still be OK to use KSC1381/3503 instead of the TT's, at ~50 volts or so? If they're available! 🤔
Many thanks in anticipation!

Many thanks @fireanimal, if I can't find any alternatives, I may take you up your kind offer!I have A1381E/C3503E pairs if you are interested. They are good for the lower voltage rails.
I thought the 1381/3503 combo was only good for >65 volts, according to BOM ....?
... is the BOM unvealed for those interested in the 2nd group buy??? Quite interested also ... THXHi Guys,
Thought I'd start to order components for my forthcoming build, ...
I always interpreted the BOM specs as "good up to" rather than "best for".I thought the 1381/3503 combo was only good for >65 volts, according to BOM ....?
Thanks @A Jedi , I hadn't considered that interpretation ....
In which case - @fireanimal I'll be more than happy to accept your generous offer! I'll need 6 of each of course, for my EF3-3 build - do you have?
Shall I PM you so we can sort out arrangements?
Many thanks

Hi Guy's,
Just a quick update on the 2nd Group buy. The PCB’s should be finished being checked on Saturday. I then plan to start sending out payment requests via PayPal. Once the payments are in I'll order the PCB’s and then send out the Dropbox links to everyone so they have all the documentation and can start ordering parts.
If you are sitting on the fence, now is the time to decide if your going to place your order to be part of the 2nd group buy as I hope to order the boards next week sometime.
A big thank to all the diyaudio members who have made this group buy possible. I'm certain looking forward to seeing the new boards.

No, D111 and D113 are for the next version of EF3-X boards which you don't have.Anyone
Do you remove D101 if you replace R130 and R131 with D111 and D113?
If you remove R130, R131 you need to install D115 and D116
D101 and D102 will stay installed in your case.
I just found a small Error on the schematic. Let me just update it for you.
Check the Dropbox folder in a few minutes.
Done.

Hi Guy’s
As we are just about finished checking the PCB’s for the 2nd Group Buy.
I thought that I would just give you all a heads up on the minor changes / improvements we
have made to the IPS and EF3-X boards. The BOM & build guide have been updated to reflect these changes
and the Dropbox folder will be updated before your boards arrive.
IPS Boards
• Revision From 3.7 to 3.8
• Silkscreen clarity improved
Changes
• C9 now supports 12.5mm Diameter
• R121 split into R121A & R121B
Additions:
• D13, D14
• MELF SMD Pad added to R3, R4 & R7, R8
Removed:
• C11
EF3-X Boards
• Revision From 3.9 to 4.0
• Silkscreen clarity improved
Changes
• Updated the NFB Path
Additions:
• D111, D112
• D113, D114
• D115, 116
• 10mm Pitch added to C112
Removed:
• D105B, D106B on EF3-4
• D101, D102
• R130, R131
