hmm, if the boards for future builds haven't been ordered, maybe this is the time for the black color PCB (with gold traces of course)

I would be interested in a small footprint board with transistors by the edge for on-heatsink mounting (if I was not sooo behind on my projects I would probably make one; but that will have to wait). unless there is someone out there who can whip up one sooner?
I’m happy to be corrected but I wouldn’t think 5cm long jumper wires from the PCB to a heatsink mounted MOSFET would hurt anything.
Here is my base with wood finish drying. 2x2 poplar from HD 8$. Four holes 0.3 inch deep, the Al standoffs have slight interference on the side so they can hold the pcb w/o glue. It is deep enough so the PCB is couple of mm off the base I will eventually pay tribute to ZM and secure the standoffs in the base with JBweld. 😀
Self sticking felts would be installed at the bottom.
I lacking the proper 90 deg clamping tools so one of the miters moved slightly during glue up but whatever, once the pcb is mounted no one can't tell.😉

So members can get on with making a spiffy wooden base (or some other exotic material) while we wait for kits/boards in the store, can someone who has the kit already share the exact size of the pcb, thanks - inches and mm would be great to suit all members.
The raffle pcb is 4 3/4 x 5 in. I made my base 6.5x6 3/4 in (outer dims) so to have 7/8 border all around the PCB. I wanted to give some weight so that amp wouldn't be pulled around by speakers cables.

This looks like another GREAT amp to use as gifts for friends! I’ve already given away a number of the original ACAs. I like the wooden plinth idea and will probably make a “double wide” amp with two PCBs for a friend who is into quadrophonic LPs.
Make sure you have a listen first. You may decide to give away some other amps instead...😉

Ha - it’s a rare day that I give up something that I haven’t already experienced. Giving away two or three of these probably means that I’ll build five or six of them 😉
