Comparison... be carefull doing it...... and also take care of your

old unit, because making comparisons you may shot your old equipment.

Dx Amplifier had nice performance while compared to more modern units.

Now a days, this comparator set up is including:

Dx Amplifier
LM3886
Dx Super A
DxS MKII
DxDc ( Dx Desintegrated circuit...non integrated.... discrete)
Pioneer A5600 (vintage unit with output capacitor coupled)

This is a nice way to listen...you really perceive harmonic effects in some kinds of musics..it is delicious to listen this way...you really perceive what distortion means to our ears/brain.

We, Dx Amplifier builders, we are twice the Spartans....we are almost 600 all over the world....we have amplifiers in Siberia, in Alaska, in Katmandú, in Lebanon, whole Europe, Croatia, US, Canadá, Central America and other world places.

Dx Amplifier, as i said when releasing it 9 years ago, "would not let you feel ashamed when compared with the best world units"... Now a days i can feel i was correct saying that, as i am using the Comparator and it is difficult to perceive it as the worst....in the reality it is not.... it is better than the Pioneer and the LM3886, in sound and in waveshape performance.

We have never offered kit.....it is a DIY design.....and people used to build it

But, since it was released, many guys (mainly in China) started to produce to sell it.

They even use this thread as reference and the Greg Erskine page as source of documentation.

I do not have any connection with them...they are not my friends, not my partners, not my representative...in the reality, they are pirates.

I do not help or stimulate people to buy pirate stuff...but..... each one of us may decide what to do.

My beloved amplifier is very good....i do not know if it can beat the KSA50 clone....maybe can match it....do not know.....and it is alike a son to me....and we love our sons despite they can be special or not special.

Greg Erskine pages can be easier to find things, i cannot give you the link now as i am not using my home computer.

If you wanna a suggestion, go to KSA50 Clone, because, at least, it is not a pirate copy.

I don't mean to be rude but some people don't have the skills, time nor tools to build even simpler things than an amplifier.

I'm looking for the best simple class A amp for my future setup ( which is 10 years in the making even though extremely simple ).

Right now i'm looking at jlh 1996, hiraga, krell clone. Any advice based on experience ? I've seen your class A amp, how does it compare to these above ?

I could probably ask someone to build it for me if it is better than the above.

I understand your passion.
