thank you but for ONLY TWO added features i will never pay, nothing, realy.Write to Audiomatica to check on pricing with the serial number of your Clio Pocket.
As usual only registered users can get the upgrades , charged or not.
Try info@audiomatica.com
like i wrote, i'll buy other more serious product, IMHO.
p.s.
at least for historical customers like me, audiomatica could apply some discounts!
I prefer to stay with my feet on the ground.Cost for the CLIO pocket is no debate at all to my view, absolute stellar value for money...
there are many other alterbatives to clio poscket/full QC...google is your friend
It would be fair to name the other offers.don't worry, there are better systems
After having a huge disappointment with the support of woofertester.com ,I looked after all the offers on the market at about 1000$. There not many. I ended with Clio Pocket and I enjoy it very much, I only complained a bit about the graphic interface which could be more handy.
You didn't answer my question.there are many other alterbatives to clio poscket/full QC...google is your friend
cost less ?, about a serious mesurement system you will pay all money (or a lot) when you buy it, then software upgrades are free and hardware upgrade not.
I made before a thorough net search for CLIO alternatives, hence my question.
Thanks a lot. Manufacturers are often named here without it is considered as advertisement. It seems that you have no name to suggest.I do not advertise, please use google...
Attached is the price of the software update to Clio 2.0
I received this morning.

Typically the Diyaudio forum is a fantastic forum mostly FILLED with VERY helpful people ! Everyone shares information AND often their own circuitry ! People are supplied with information which they have come across unless it's very long. In that case a URL is provided.
You say you know of many other cheaper and better devices than the Clio Pocket. It should be VERY easy for you to mention them here. You will be helping a LOT of members especially those who cannot currently spend on a Clio Pocket. They WILL be grateful to you ! Don't you want to help them like most members do ?
you are free to think of itIt seems that you have no name to suggest.
I think Forr is right. You don't know any brands or models that are better. It would be nice not to say such things when you cannot substantiate them.
The upgrade is about the cost of three CD's. That's inexpensive for most people who bought the Clio Pocket already. It's no rip off at all ! Audiomatica has always been prompt in responding to ANYTHING you bring up with them , if you are a customer or prospective one. I've been very happy using their products and their response to ANYTHING I throw at them !

Got it!
Version2 installed and working.
THD curves visible now. Remark though, would have been nicer if the THD selection would be fixed (same way as the timing settings, when selecting the phase or groupdelay every measurement keeps on displaying that curve. At this moment the SPL curve appears with every measurement and you have to go to the menu to select the THD again.
Bug report1?
And....it would be great if the vertical axis could display percentages..?

Yes, let Audiomatica know about this. They are very open to suggestions. Implementation may take time.
Small demonstration of added value in V2
I measured the SPL curves of the left and right TD2001 (340Hz Tractrix) and they always seemed very similar....(red/white curves)
However, when I measured the THD there was this very weird graph in one of the drivers with bumps in the THD curve (yellow) whereas the other driver was flat and low enough as expected (Green).
So, slight panic if the berylium would be cracked due to the enormous output signal of the CLIO when a calibration is completed (still being set back to 1V instead of my pre-calibration setting of 0.025V for my highly sensitive system...and yes, I went nearly deaf when that happened )
Had to open the TD2001 driver to check and luckily the berylium was ok, so the only thing I could think of was the correct alignment of it in the gap, cleaning the gap and tightening the mounting screws since I felt 2 out of 3 were not too tight.
Additionally, replacing the foam in the back chamber with modern stuf since the original was falling apart.
Connected a signal generator while positioning the diaphragm and put everything back in place.
The measurement is purple line (bump due to measuring a bit too close) and the THD is the brown one...so, better than even the other driver now.
Without the THD measurement I would have never discovered this!
