Thank you.
I was asked to build a Patek integrated and this is how it came out. The volume control features a fixed series Vishay and switchable shunt Caddocks.
I might build another one like that, but this time fully balanced with 4 gang switch for volume.

Hi peter,
it looks like, although i can't be sure from the photo, that the input is going directly to the amp board rather than across the attenuator first. If this is the case, can you describe the configuration and why you chose to do it this way.
thanks,
Tim

Yes, indeed, that how it's wired.
I used fixed series Vishay S102 10k, mounted directly on amp board and switchable shunt Caddocks. It seems like the purest approach to volume adjustement.
The amp's already making news: http://6moons.com/news/news.html

Re. up
I will be release DIP version(LME49710) of the preamplifier module. But the LME49600 have not formal release. So to have more time.

Well theres a bit of it in my thread in this forum,
But now finished pretty much:
List of equipment,
Rod Elliot Active X-over board,
4 x Peter Daniel Premium 3886's
Modded playstation, new linear psu, output, remote control etc
Speakers designed by me, using Hi-vi research d6.8's tuned to circa 44Hz (bass port on base) and Sd1.1a tweeters
-Sorry for the slightly large images.
Regards and thanks for all your help / inspiration guys

Where did the enclosures come from? Did you make them or buy them like that? Or maybe those are from Peter?
Hi there, took me a long time to find something suitable, and these were a compromise anyway.
But they are hammond enclosures, avialable relatively cheaply from mouser (they sit quite nicely with 2 amps ontop and a PSU on the bottom)
Hammond 1455, lots of different sizes in similar styles available.

Peter makes his own, those are not peters, they are bought.
I love the speakers, very sexy. The amp's looks complicated tho, many wires..
Jase
OregonDV , they are not that badly priced either (i bought them in seperate lots though, would hate to think how much i spent altogether!)
I did think a all in one enclosure design would contain less wires and cost substatially less, but liked the appeal of mono-blocks!

First of all it is very well done.
I love the speakers also.
Why did you add additional heat sinks to the boxes? I ASSUME the boxes are aluminum, and I believe Peter's kits are LM3886 chips so if they were mounted on the enclosure they would be fairly cool. Especially since you have them only being used partial range.
Just my 2 cents, but still a beautiful system.
