A few questions to clarify the data
1. PSU used for your testing ? I assume its a SMPS like in our testing.
Korad KA3005D Connected via 150cm 0.75mm^2 cable - no snubbers.
2. You are comparing BTL and PBTL boards..how is that ?
No problems with that, i did not rated both amps against each other.
3. Even with the 2 points above (slightly unfair in my biased opinion)....is it fair to say that from 0.01W to 22w Volt+ is still the winner ?
No problems with that, if <=0.005% is enough win (compared to CSCF2014-6R8M). No rating done by me, the winner takes it all.
(As said in the other thread, i can't specify the uncertainty of measurement.)

Its public.
Our amp (that shall not be named) compared with modified mono boards (mono have better distortion than stereo) using a linear power supply (130$) (vs SMPS like ours)
From 0.1W to 22W we come at 0.005% ahead . Not much.
Still , I feel proud about this test data. No matter how skewed the comparison.

Congrats, and i mean it. 🙂
(To be fair, the CSCF2014-6R8M won't fit on those mono boards at all)

Thx you DrMord I appreciate your words.
Its all because of the 4 layers... 😀 no of course I am joking .
very impressive again doctormord.
can you share a pic of the CSCF2014-6R8M tacked on sanwu pbtl clone?
i dont care if its ugly. just curious.
also what distributor you used to get the CSCF2014-6R8M ?

I've been a very interested lurker and I appreciate the fact that everyone has been very gracious in praise and also in taking criticism. You guys rock/rule! I am very appreciative of the fact that we have guys like you (and everyone else) in this forum. I learn because of you. Thank you!Thx you DrMord I appreciate your words.

The (ugly) money shot.
All inductors abused in this test:
"Bad news":
I sampled a variety of inductors from Codaca directly. (Sample+Shipping Cost)
The minimum order quantity is 200pcs. each value/model.
"Good news":
The "CSCF2014-6R8M" can be substituted by Wurth "7443630700". Same geometry, same core, ~same specs.

nice work and interesting results. They confirms the preponderant role of the inductors on THD.
Though, 1kHz is just before the raise of THD on most boards.
If you have it, could you share the THD+N per frequency graph @1W with the big winning inductor ?

Worse than that, you just need tpa3118 chip to have THD rising with frequency, no LC filter needed.
Ok dumb question time, what is the name of those red connectors? I could really use them. The (ugly) money shot.

Yes. Quite expensive at mouser. Better ask Wurth directly.
Thanks you, it is very appreciated, I am enjoying with the tpa3118 mono board, I intend to try these coils.

5R at 19V:
5R at 24V:
10R at 19V:
10R at 24V:
For 5R, the sweet spot is somewhere between 19V and 24V with tendencies to 24V - for a 10R load, it seems to be other way around.
