Asynchronous I2S FIFO project, an ultimate weapon to fight the jitter

I'm really curious of your findings when you compare!
As I also want to build the best possible streamer, for certain I'll chose some options which I haven't thought of before, because I'll like some design choices of you!
Ah, and for the caps: Have you used digikey's and mouser's search, as they are really powerful and extremely well working? Then, if you have the specific part number you can look the part up with octoparts.
Hi Murdoc,
I will buy the Eaton supercaps. I know the brand from there UPSes, wel known for the quality. I just needed the nudge.
Ocotoparts, thanks for the tip.
Once the project is finished, I will share my experience with this community, that is the goal of this forum, isn't it?
But don't hold your breath. It will take a while. I will order all the parts. I have passed the +4k € mark. And still looking for a case that does the project justice.

And if I want to use this radiator for the rpi4 with the StationPI, What would be the modification,a 40 pin higher.
2.54mm Male / Female Pin Header 2x20 Pins 11mm (Unit)

There is also a 3 mm alternative, but that will most likely be too short.
I use the 11 mm and bent a few pins for the GPIO plugin in Volumio to switch a relay on and off. Zero power consumption when switched of. But you cannot use a remote to switch the DAC on. But that doesn't matter to me.

Or you can use a ribbon cable to get more distance from the Pi to the rest of the stack.
GPIO Extender cable male female 40 Pin for Raspberry Pi A+ / B+ / Pi 3 / Pi 2 20cm

If the cable is too long, you can remove one of the connectors and move it. Press it in a vise and cut the remainder of the cable. Make sure not to have shorts, easily checked. And pin 0 of course. I have done this numerous times with IDE cables in the past.

Male / Female I2S 2.54mm Cable Silver Plated 15cm (x5)

I will use these, more expensive, but much better quality. Still thinking about shielding these.

Not sure if this is best place to post this, my apologies if this is needs to be posted elsewhere. Got myself a 5v UCPure mk2 from IanCanada but found the R10 resistor missing, likely my moving boards around too often while trying different configuration on the box. does anyone knows what is the resistor value this R10 should be? It doesn’t seems to affect anything but just in case if it blows up the capacitor 😳.

@TigerMax
Please no worries. It's a 1M ohms chip resistor in 0402 package. With it, the turn off time will be faster. However, you can leave it un-assembled if the turn-off time is not a problem for you.

And I just discovered that the usb plug is located the wrong way when i mount the Bridgepi under the FIFOQ7 , hmmmmm.

I have both. Hard to tell a difference. My gut tells me amanero sounds slightly better than rpi4 but I haven’t done any extensive testing and swapping power supplies. Many say Ethernet sounds better than Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi should be turned off / use shielding etc. which I haven’t done.
