Congrats soundhappy!
Waw, will you parallel them or why do you need so many? 🙂
Hi DIYspaceW
Congratulation more too You for Sony vfet parafeed diy amp
ready build and good example for me 🙂

Yes Vfet's is for parallel devices for Common Drain Part 2 amp i dream build symmetric one but maybe i am short after matched pairs ?
Anyway today i collect parts for CSX1
Probably Mr Pass is busy in lab and from time to time write next line of his thrill article

Greetings
Parallel universe
How many do you want to parallel?
By the way my sit is going to get an input transformer....Update..

Vfet pairs for balanced amp how many need ?
Best regards
Finaly find response but things maybe change ?Another correction: The big version is balanced, and not all of the devices
are VFETs - there are also supply regulators.
So instead of 30 Vfets, each output polarity has 6 pairs, or 12 devices, and
you will be aware that they only have to slew half as fast as well, making the
performance the equivalent of an unbalanced 3 pair in terms of the effective
capacitance.
😎
Best regards
My next amp will be a Class A 50W monster...
I noticed that paralleling the VFET pairs could do the trick...2 pairs...
Has someone already build the Pass amp, if so, how does it perform?

Hello DIYspaceW, I have done the amplifier. It is wonderful. But for my 86db speakers I need more power. My room is small (9m2) and when speaker begin to sound well, appear a little of distortion (and DC protector works!). I need more watts. With this power supplies, amplifier dissipate more of 100 watts and I suppose we can increase the voltage, but we need dissipate more watt from SITs. My heatsinks are big (0.25-0.3 ºC/W) and in half an hour they are hot, and transistors it is not possible touch with hand.
Yes, 20W is not so much difference from my 12W amp.
But I guess a 50W would make a huge difference for less sensitive speakers.

Hi All Diyers
in case you are in Jensen transformer GB this week-end and next week we go probably to final step.
That mean it is last moment to modify your needs for Papa Vfet CSX1 diy amp.
Pcb or wire , less transfomers or more ?
Send message and stay in tune .

Hi 6L6Soundhappy.....thank you for posting it!
Is my pleasure and enjoy it you appreciated
My new iron solder WD1 from Weller work much better
and i go start stuffed pcb's of Aleph J from Your excellent kit
and Vfet CSX1 push-pull so i post it more pictures on threads.
Thank You
Have fun 🙂
I have heard the piano of jama and the orchestra with this amplifier.
It sounds well, but sometimes it needs more power.
High power rates create something of distortion and after some minutes a little bit of DC offset.
The DC protection of loudspeakers switched off the speakers in half of the hearing.
Today I have bought two vintage Zenith speakers.
I will make experiments. 🙂

So it looks like Acronman only has pairs of 2SK82 KE-33 and 2SJ28 KF-33 left. I have not bought my 2 pairs yet (zero play money🙁) and I am just wondering if different ranked pairs will work with this design?
Have I missed the boat or will these still work?
Must I now beg some benevolent member who has extra for 2 pairs?😱🙁

Hey mac, what you think in make a tool for measure each vfet of the group follow by publications of the results and trying to close match them for the next project of Common drain?
I have four pairs. All KE series. But somebody with more experience could suggest some.
Best Regards.

Hi Diyers
Who have order and buy Jensen transformers with his web site ??
Do you have pay supplementary costs like taxes, importation fees ? How many ?
Thanks for response 🙂
Kindly regards

Hello soundhappy. It is a lottery (in Spain). I had buyed twice, one with 112, and I had not pay nothing, and second with 123, and I paid 21% tax and importation fees (20 eur more).
