I am needing 2N5401 and 2N5551....other very interesting ones are

2SC4793 and 2SA1837....these are excelent....they are made of a non conductive material, so, prototype constructors does not even have to bother about insulators.

The plastic tool Rudi has to bend resistances matching circuit board's holes distance, is very usefull too.

Hello Niss_man,

I recommend a thermal switch rated at 70ºC, with normally open contacts. Get Jaycar CAT. NO. ST3833.

Don't worry about the effect of this switch on audio, since it's not in series with audio (it just activates the protection board relay, which should be of a high quality type).

Thanks Mitchel. Where does this thermal sw attach? The heat sink? Or does it just use the current in the wire to get hot ie. too much current=too much heat. If this were the case then it would be dependent on the size of wire used. If it is connected to the heat sink it would depend on the thermal conductivity of the heat sink?

Like Dexter said, you should mount the switch on the heatsink. Screw it down, and don't forget to use a little bit of thermal compound in between the switch and the heatsink.

Now that you said it, I realized the MJL are smaller in width than the Sankens. I don't think that there's a good reason to use the Sankens: the MJL4281/4302 is a wonderfull pair, and as far as I'm concerned, you can get original pieces quite easily.

The Sankens are wider, and would make the PCB much larger ...

If you manage to get heatsinks like these, you can mount each Sanken on a different floor (first transistor on the first floor, second on the second one, and so on).

The whole story will show that Rudi has done nothing wrong.
I believe it is another Brazilian that has proposed a corrupt arrangement and Rudi reported that to the Group buy and to you.

I am not going to rush into this.
I am not threatening Destroyer.
I can wait a while.
Let Destroyer consider his actions and let him decide what is best for the Forum and in particular in clearing Rudi's name.

I will wait until Destroyer tells me that he refuses to clear Rudi's name, or until I have no further patience.

Rudi has not resorted to telling untruths.
Rudi has been bullied into keeping quiet. I feel to reveal more at this stage may upset Rudi more than he already is.

He was a target. He rightly reported what was happening.
That is where Destroyer came in. Tell everyone what happened.

I am not a judge. I simply know some of the story and that little tells me that bad is being done, but not by Rudi.

The amplifier sounds delicious folks...despite these small problems

related the one makes the board and the one will not make the board..the amplifier itself is very good and it is much more important than the guys envolved, or connected to recent tragedies, and some not nice moments of our lifes.

Recently we had a scandall in a group buy.... i do not know about you..but this drives me sad...this depresses me... not nice things happening...i really do not appreciate all that dirty clothing being cleaned in public, looks not elegant...have some lack of class.

Well.... sounds matter... pleasure with good music and nice audio amplifier.

humans have their own troubles...and let them find their way to reach solution.

Enjoy the good amplifiers while humans are busy with secondary things... about the one will do this or that or those.
