And what did we buy today?

Two sets of Vittoria latex inner tubes for the cross bike. A pair each for the road and off-road tires.

Can you say thousand watt amplifier?

I have said that before. Tubes, most of mine are 36LW6's they seem to be easier to find. Transformers, yeah I got a pair of BIG Plitrons rated for 400 watts @ 20Hz. They will do 500 watts at 40 Hz no problem. The power supply???? I want to be able to lift this thing, so another 50 pounds of iron is not on my plan, but most of my SMPS experiments prove that it's pretty easy to convert silicon into charcoal when you wire it directly to the line voltage.

I had more luck finding the 26 volt variety. A couple bucks more, but still way cheaper than 6550/KT88, and should handle the 900V B+. Output trafo is Antek 15T950, which gives 1k a-a with 4 ohm load. Basically running at half voltage, so may work well down to 25 Hz and handle 750 watts continuous. This won’t have to be hi-fi - it is for the subwoofers. The serious hi-fi amp you’ve already seen (the 6x6550).

Nice camera, I have an older Lordomat from East Germany that is nice to look at.

My dad is sending me a Nikon D5000 to play around with, should be here in a couple days.
He tried to sell it but was disappointed with the lowball offers, decided instead that I would be a better recipient.

I bought some Mogami cable, and some low end Nuetrik connectors to make a set of RCA cables to replace my older ones from radio shack.
