You will love not having carpet, we have three dogs and kids as well, so everything has to be non-absorbent.
Depending on the floor, you have to be careful of standing water. ie: pee. It can swell the joints and they don't go back down like they swell up. Trust me. 🙂

I used a power drill with a screw driver bit to put literally thousands of screws in the floor of my last house to install a new sub floor made from plywood over the old one which resembled stuck together cornflakes. Won’t do that again!
8 - 1" copper pipe end caps. I'm making ant moats for my humming bird feeders. I actually only bought one at Lowes, and had to order the remainder on line from Lowes since they were out of them.

I'm going to attempt a hybrid tube/MOSFET amp based on my knowledge of tube circuits...

I bought 1000ft of 22 solid black hookup wire for a fraction of the cost from the big players.
For those who are looking for good prices on wire, and you're in Canada, check out Sayal. (SAYAL Electronics Home Page Redirect)

I did the subfloor thing years ago, 700 screws into 3/8" void free subfloor plywood of a kitchen that had been flooded, and then used polymer modified mortar to put down tile even though fresh plywood. Overbuild and no maintenance needed.
Not much new, an I2S switching PCB and matching ribbon cables on Ali, new SIM cards and hybrid phone case on Ebay.

An apartment
Might as well get in while the prices are in a slump. 🙂
The previous owners of my dad's house decided the kitchen floor should be 2 inches of concrete with ceramic tiles set directly into it. It's a 1950's bungalow and the the subfloor is 2x6 diagonal boards. I'm surprised they didn't wreck the main floor when they jackhammered it out.I did the subfloor thing years ago, 700 screws into 3/8" void free subfloor plywood of a kitchen that had been flooded, and then used polymer modified mortar to put down tile even though fresh plywood. I have an idea of refurbishing the "motherboard" of my Polivoks and looking for toggle switches with BIG paddles I ended up at Nevada Surplus-something and saw slide switches that looked very much like they could go into my Concertmate, so I order a bunch at a cost that is 1/3 of an eBay-set for that synthesizer.
New pair of cleated cycling shoes. My old ones don't fit due to change in my foot shape from foot op. No excuses now to lose the excess the weight. Also received my 2 off 160 VA toroids for my Bedini rebuild. Now I can finally get the blighter on the go.
deadpool, buyers market I hope. Congrats, owning beats renting hands down, until you need to do repairs any way.
Or would that be "beef-sized dinner sausages"? Either one would work for me, though a bigger freezer might be in order... 😛
Thanks for the tips on the flooring guys! They are supposed to start prep today. The house really looks like a bomb went off in it.
Hopefuilly next year we install French doors on the living room, or would they be called "freedom doors" now?
Hey kodabmx,
Neat parts. Too bad they don't have a P channel device as well. Notice that they list the mounting torque on the datasheet. That's teh first time I have seen that. Finally!

They don't make P channel tubes, so what's the issue? LOL
My big issue is deciding between active loading and transformer loading... But where to find a 1:1 transformer with a very low DCR?

What is beef-sized? 😕
Around these parts we have breakfast sized and dinner sized.
